Hopkins deserves a rematch, it was actually his title they fought for and hes one of the greatest fighters of this time, he deserves a fight with anyone he wants and since the fight was that close, Joe should give him one.

Having said that, a peak Hopkins would almost certainly have won easily.
        1. no they didn't thats a lie most thought hopkins won. i'm sure some british "experts" had calzaghe winning but not many others.
        2. hopkins won the 10th round easily yet only 1 of the judges gave it to him. looks like his "acting" backfired cause the judges gave that round to calzaghe. so i don't see how he would have lost more clearly. also they werent "fake" low blows they just werent hard but then again what calzaghe punches are hard.

First time he got a 3 minute official break, second time he took a 45 second unofficial break. I didn't say he'd have stopped him I said he'd have won clearly, that the scores wouldn't have been close. Hopkins was fighting like an old man before he took the long break, and he improved dramatically after the break. And Calzaghe generally does punch hard to the body, and he almost stopped Kessler with a body punch - it's only his head punches aren't that hard these days because of his fragile hands. But even those were hard enough to have given Jones a terrible cut, and Jones normally never cuts. Jones said "his pitty pat punches were far harder than I thought they would be." And did you see Lacy's face after he fought Calzaghe?

You seem to have an incredible prejudice against anyone who isn't American, bordering on racism.

In their fight reports, they always write "The Ring scored it [whatever], and they scored it to Calzaghe by one round. I seem to remember the HBO commentators also scored it to Calzaghe by one round.

Don't ever quote HBO as a reliable source for judging hahaha come on, that's common knowledge.

Calzaghe should man up and give Hopkins the rematch. Hopkins talked all that **** to sell the fight. Welcome to promotional tactics. Calzaghe talking all this **** now about Hopkins tells me he doesn't feel confident in the rematch which is why he's blasting Hopkins so much. Kessler and Hopkins. That's it. A hype job like Lacy and a skeleton of his former self RJJ is not very impressive. I like Calzaghe, but he needs to fight either Dawson or Hopkins or keep his mouth shut and retire. BTW, I thought Hopkins won that fight, but his bull**** defense first offense the next round mentality cost him, and he lost it himself.

so joe is a big puncher got it. or he would be but he hurt his lil fragile hands ahhhh. heard that excuse before cept i actually went back and watched his old fights and he fights exactly the same way with no power and all his stoppages were bull. also punches don't have to be hard to cause cuts you can get cut off any single punch depending on the angle but you are ****** so you probably wouldn't understand that. jones is shot as hell he would think a feather "hits harder than he thought." yea lacy's face got beat up cause he got hit with 1000 slaps. did he ever get close to being stopped no. you are the delusional nut from loonyland who thinks calzaghe punches hard with no evidence whatsoever cept your own insanity. you really want him to be a power puncher but guess what HE'S NOT. he's a windmilling freak who escaped from enzo's circus as a young lad. you seem to be prejudice against reality if you think joe can punch hard and won the hopkins fight.
