finally, one guy got it right, it's the frustration that pacman gave to DLH, pacman simply negated the offensive stance of DLH and couldn't find his rhytmn because of the speed, movement and southpaw style of manny, in the first round it's DLH who attacks but gets caught by manny's left straight that comes in blinding speed.. and DLH simply couldn't find a way to solve that throughout the fight. dehydration has nothing to do with it as what the other morons around here are saying.

So, Oscar didn't gain two pounds. He likely DROPPED from the weigh in. Amazing.
Your gonna take a promoter's word over a conditioning coach's. Damage control is part of a promoter's job.

TRY and find all the excuses you want. but after ALL of them are told! the truth is, odlh recieved the most embarassing HUMILIATION in the history of boxing. Ducked smaller Margarito, Cotto, Chose to challeng an even much smaller opponant in PAC-MAN!! LOST every round, not one was close, THEN QUIT!!!!!! FOR GOD'S SAKE "THE MAN QUIT" AND EVERYONE IS LOOKING FOR EXCUSES??? THE MEXICAN GOLDEN B*TCH GOT HER *SS WHIPPED ON PPV TV. AND ALL YOU S*CK*SSES ARE NOW LOOKING FOR EXCUSES!!!

Can we say now that Oscar is not at all that shot when he fought Manny??! A lot have opined that Oscar was a shell of his old self during that night and that his diet was to blame. Now his conditioning coach claims poor preparation. Garcia should have been listened to regarding the need for Oscar to solve Valero and to get on top of him. Nobody to blame but Oscar himself. His short patience with Valero caused him to pay dearly. No wonder he just stared at Manny, feeling so frustrated and dumbfounded!! Garcia also implied that Manny’s fighting stance and speed confounded Oscar no end. Credits and props to Manny. I wouldn’t believe Oscar will perform the same if it was a different fighter Oscar faced that night. Oscar could have done better against Hatton, or Cotto, or Margarito……Manny simple bedazzled him!

Well duh. Did you see how much his boxing skills improved? He was moving all over the place, had De La Hoya the legs of a prime De LA Hoya He'd still have trouble with Pacquiao's performance.

Well I think DLH had a chance of at least give Manny a better fight and finish the fight, but with the same outcome of Manny with the victory. There is no excuse when you loose a fight you either win or loose and what makes you a good and better fighter is when you go out there and give your best even if you loose, the fans are going to appreciate your effort and not criticize you when you don't do nothing. Remember Arturo Gatti maybe he wasn't non of the Big stars of great talent but he gave his heart to boxing and the fans and that's what we need more, we need boxers with heart like Gatti, Morales, Chavez and a lot more that didn't care about dollars they just wanted to fight the best and give it all and because of the excuse of "if i don't get 20 million" we don't see the fights we want, SHAME on you you started out with hunger of fights and calling out the best and ended all in pay me the best or no fight, That's what is hearting boxing and giving UFC the thumbs up for giving fan the best and if you don't want to fight the best, this is not your sport.

And this conditioning coach is OBJECTIVE?? He is the mutha****a that has been getting the blame for the weight/dehydration/overtraining.

OF COURSE, he is defensive and non-objective!!

At 147 (or less) on fight night, Oscar is HOT ****IN GARBAGE.

Chris Byrd wasn't shot until he dropped too low in weight and got worked by a journeyman.

he has never won a career defining fight???? what about Chavez, Pernell, Quartey, Vargas, RUelas, Chicanito Hernandez, Miguel Angel Gonzalez, and he beat Tito no matter what they say.... and winning championships in diferent divisions... holyfield once said.. no one becomes a champion by been a bum... so you need to have something to become a champion... no that i defend DLH, i dont care about him or anyone in particular, i just love boxing and i think that the Pacquiao win was good for the sport..

but saying that DLH was only a good opponent during his career, just makes me laugh and relize that you need to learn and study and watch boxing a lot more
