Calzaghe is a very good fighter in his own right... he would get the respect he deserves one way or another even if he was to be dethroned at SMW by a prime Jones

for the record, i have Jones beating Calzaghe prime for prime, but Calzaghe putting up a great and exciting fight before maybe being KO'd/TKO'd later on

You can't say A prime roy at 168 would get cut and beat up like he did in the calz fight?

        its crazy man

The question is would we be talking about Jones? I mean everyone agrees SMW was weak, he would have had the same problem come 2009 Calzaghe does, not enough world class names on his resume, simply because there isn't any world class SMW.

It's not like Hopkins was any more likely to fight RJJ than he was Calzaghe.

RJJ staying at SMW = not the legend and P4P All time top 50 fighter.

and yes I rank him higher than 50 take it as a number that signify's he's an ATG not a placement within that 50.

Thats not what i'm saying and you know it, but substitute his LHW run and his HW win with the Calzaghe's resume and would you say he would be talked about as P4P?

Unless you are a total hypocrite of course you wouldn't.

he become a 2 weight undefeated champ who has very few names on his resume same as Calzaghe.
