Adamek, Glen Jonhson, Tarver, the last two the people who first beat Roy Jones, a way better version than Joe beat. Joe Calzaghe has the credit for beating 2 prospect level fighters in Lacy and Kessler and a tough veteran in Bernard. The rest of it is simply ****** and a waste of time for him.

1. you are insane calzaghe never could punch. watch his early "stoppages" in his "power phase" over guys like sobot and sheika they weren't even hurt when the ref stepped in.
2. are you kidding almost no one he fought was very highly ranked. 13 out of his 21 "title" defenses the guys were never ranked in the top 10 by ring. yea i guess will mctnyre was ranked highly by the wbo but what do they know they move dead guys up the rankings.
3. no one went on to win a belt after fighting calzaghe but kessler and he had to fight sartisson wow that's hard. 1 is a handful? did you get 4 of your fingers blown off on your hand?

But it still sounds to me like people are sleeping somewhere, look, basicly what a lot of people are complaining about is that Joe have only beaten old "washed up" fighters. But truth be told that Mikkel Kessler and Jeff Lacy were both undefeated champions and very promising, so I can't see why these have suddenly been forgotten. "They have never proven themselves", you can say that yes, but show me one young fighter who has proven himself? Chad Dawson? Maybe, but I recalled that one more round with Glen Johnson would've been a brutal KO, Chad showed big signs of weakness, but also great signs of heart. But fact of the matter is that Johnson isn't the fastest pace. I think USA sometimes have to invent stars, like they did with Pavlik, right now with Mayweather "retired" you basicly have no one left, except for Hopkins (But you are calling him an old man aren't you? Or at least you did until he beat the crap out of the next American Idol). But it's okay, USA is the land of boxing, I won't disagree with you on that point. But the rest of the world is really showing signs of a growing boxing culture.

But hey, I hope that he will take Dawson, because first of all, I think he should retire with a match in his native country AND it would be a big step towards getting respect in America. Second I really feel like Calzaghe would win over Dawson. But hey we could discuss that all night huh?
