Most Calzaghe haters have red barameter...? Maybe they love to hate.

Calzaghe is a great champion, and the US doesn't have any, let's see if Kessler and Hopkins meet.

Or let's see if Dawson and Calzaghe meet, I'll write down ALL names, which said that Joe has ZERO chance of winning. It's you who need to wake up.

LOL, anyways Joe needs a legacy sealing fight imo. Sure it was nice to see him defeat a well past it Jones, as wellas squeak out a very close win over Hopkins, but he needs that last great fight to seal his legacy.

No doubt about it. We want to see him in action for the last time in Wales (Or Copenhagen!! )

Calzaghe will obviously be favorite against Dawson. He is still relativley inexperienced and green.

Fact is, Calzaghe has his chance back i 2001-ish. When Prime RJJ, Hopkins, Tarver, Winky and all those guys were there. Instead he was busy in half-empty stadiums facing sub-par fighters like Veit, TKO-ing them, and offering them a rematch

So you are saying that Veit was a bad fighter?

If Calzaghe were able to get fights back then, he would've. But Roy didn't want him and Hopkins was just too "big".

                Joe calzaghe is damn good!

I don't understand why everyone's knocking on Joe Calzaghe. He's always been an exciting fighter - Always moving forward and dropping his hands and putting on a show when he doesn't have to. In his younger days, he was knocking out everyone. Now he's got hand problems (very common among hard punchers) AND STILL CONTINUES TO FIGHT AND WIN.

The biggest reasons why Calzaghe didn't fight all those guys is because they won't travel to his hometown and/or because he knows they aren't worth the fight. I honestly don't see anything from Pavlik that would give him a chance against Calzaghe. He has no footwork and no head movement. He's great at blocking normal punches and pivoting around but that's it.

You have to give the Calzaghe some credit, everyone he beat (whether or not they were truly that good), he beat them when they were ranked very high. Who cares if he gets a tomato can mandatory every now and then. EVERY boxer does this sooner or later. You can't call ALL his opponents bums when they were prime contenders before he humiliated them.

Even after Joe Calzaghe beat his opponents, there are a handful of his victims that still went on to win title belts. Look at Floyd Mayweather's last 10 opponents and only about 2 have gone on to win legitimate titles. When was the last time Mayweather fought a DANGEROUS young up & comer in his last 10 fights? Look at Hopkins, this guy is a light heavyweight who stays in shape and has been picking on smaller guys throughout his whole career! He sure as hell didn't GROW to light-heavyweight at age forty-something. He's a normal light-heavyweight!

And please, STFU about Calzaghe barely beating Hopkins. NOBODY has come close to cleanly beating Hopkins. Even SUPERMAN ROY JONES JR in his prime only won by a few points. Hopkins is a great in his own right and is still able to fight at a very high level.

For what it's worth, Calzaghe is far more entertaining to watch than HOPKINS, MAYWEATHER, TARVER, and some of those other "safety-first" fighters that we keep seeing on PPV. All you haters don't know jack crap about boxing and will learn anything because you're too busy being a hater. I suggest you go watch Calzaghe's fights and count his number of control attempts VS his opponents' and then come back and make a solid argument. They're going to put him in the Hall-Of-Fame for what he achieved (which is more than just being undefeated).

                  1. you are insane calzaghe never could punch. watch his early "stoppages" in his "power phase" over guys like sobot and sheika they weren't even hurt when the ref stepped in.
                  2. are you kidding almost no one he fought was very highly ranked. 13 out of his 21 "title" defenses the guys were never ranked in the top 10 by ring. yea i guess will mctnyre was ranked highly by the wbo but what do they know they move dead guys up the rankings.
                  3. no one went on to win a belt after fighting calzaghe but kessler and he had to fight sartisson wow that's hard. 1 is a handful? did you get 4 of your fingers blown off on your hand?
                  4. yea i'll watch him attempt to land punches but he never can actually land them. inaccurate windmill slaps are entertaining to you?

                  nice try though nuthugger
