      The other consideration is that the amateur/olympic style doesn't work in the pros. You gotta hit with the white part of the glove, the ref separates you even when the guy isn't hurt, etc.

      It takes some amateurs a long time to adapt to the pro style, which rewards power (rather than volume) punching and knockouts.
      Of course! that's why I said the answer is not easy... on one hand you have different rules, on the other Mayweather was fighting at the absolute top since he was 16.
