True, but I am a believer of styles making fights, Pacquiao showed a lot of very intelligent movement against DLH, the way he fought DLH would be good against Margarito, we'll get a more accurate representation on how he could fare against Margarito when he fights Hatton.

Once a fighter choses to go up in weight, you are taking responsablity that all the top fighters are going to come after you. If you fear them, then sit your ass down in your lower weight class.

couple things to consider in this fight before calling Manny absurd..

Margarito is much slower than Manny, De La Hoya would look fast compared to him.

Cotto went 11 rounds with Margarito and was hitting him at will for the first 5, fighting on the back foot, untill his gas tank ran out and he got caught on the ropes and ate body shots.

Cotto was hitting Marg with his right cross and jab, Cotto is a left handed fighter who fights in orthadox (I think) his power punches come in the form of hooks. Throwing a straight right hand isn't the money punch for him.

Pacquiao's money punch is his straight left, he would have no trouble hitting Margarito with it if Cotto could. Cotto and Pacquiao are around the same height and reach, size is similar, Cotto being bulkier.

Pacquiao doesn't run out of gas and he fights well on the back foot, he also would probably be able to slip most of Margarito's punches if Cotto could.

Just some pluses for Pacquiao, if he got caught on the ropes and gassed, he'd get leveled, but Pacquiao is quite good at avoiding that, esp against a slower fighter.


Pros for Marg: Massive size advantage, strength advantage and heavier punches. I don't think Margaritos work rate would come into play because Pacquiao doesn't stand still long enough.

I still think Manny wouldn't beat Margarito, and I think Floyd could beat Margarito with his boxing skills alone... winning by decision. But you do have a good point in saying that I gotta admit!

Attention Floyd Mayweather, this is how a great fighter is supposed to act. If he KOs Hatton and fights Margo the who is better Floyd or Pac stop has to talk right? It would have to be obvious even to his most loyal fans.
