Pac beat an aged weight drained Oscar De La Hoya. Margarito is bigger and closer to his prime. All that would happen is Margarito would destroy him the way Oscar should've. The only reason Pac fought Oscar, and Roach said so himself, is because Roach knew he'd be weight drained and that he was well past his prime. They asked Roach if he would've put Manny against him if they were both in their primes and Roach flat out said NO. Boxing has become a sport where fighters wait until the other fighter is past his prime before they fight. There aren't a lot of fighters that want to fight eachother while both are in their prime. Many fighters wait for the opportune time to fight instead of testing themselves and fighting any and everybody that's out there. That's why there isn't going to be a lot of legends out of this era. I give credit to Oscar, he fought everyone that was out there for the most part. Although he did come up short in the big fights. He's not a legend but he's a good fighter. If Pac keeps entertaining this thought and actually fights Margarito, he'll get his little ass ko'd brutally. Margarito is natural at 147lbs. He's not going to move down. He throws punches from every angle and he doesn't sit and wait around while you try to box him. He gives you constant pressure and doesn't get tired. He'd ko Pac easily. But if Roach lets time go by and Margarito gets more battle wore down, then they'll put Pac on him and see if his chances are better at that point. Which I still don't think they would be because Margarito won't sit and wait for him like Oscar did. He'll attack the little guy and unless Pac has the stamina and skill to run around the ring which Pac doesn't (kinda like mayweather has perfected the art of chicken **** fighting) then he'll get caught with a bomb and put to sleep. Pac won't be fighting a guy that's weight drained or too aged. He'll be fighting a monster at 147lbs. He needs to be smart and fight the guys at 135 or 140. He fights the top fighters at 147 (Margarito, Cotto, Berto or maybe even Clottey & Cintron) he'll get put to sleep. That Oscar fight was a good victory for him but lets face it, Oscar looked terrible in that fight which made Pac look better than he really is. That's the truth!! Pac is good but needs to be realistic. Boxing is a controlled sport, it's not a street fight. In a street fight I'd put that little but up against a bigger guy. In a controlled sport, he should stay in the realistically ideal weight divisions that are right for him.
****ing FLIPS, got to hand it to them, they continue to grab Pacs balls only after he won another title. And they blow him up to heavyweight standards. But, their country men lose one fight and they call him a bum out of Ala, Cebu Boxing Gym then proceed to call him a bum. Yeah, you guys are boxing fans, boxing fans of only one man in a sea of your country men who ain't as good as Pacquiao. You guys are what we call Pac nutthuggers, if i look bad, times that by 2 to your nutthugging un-resoning.
Pac decisioning Margarito, lol, tell that to Cotto.
we may love pacman but that doesn't mean he is the only fighter we flips support. and just because we are filipinos doesn't also mean we only support fighters from our country, just ask ali and frazier

If fights are decided on paper, these arguments would probably have weight.
