The public 9 times out of 10 will side with the people's champ which is Pacquiao in this case.

Pacquiao is all about big money fights now, but I'm positive in the long run Pacquiao will be looked as the fighter who took higher risks win or lose when compared to Floyd.

Floyd fought the best Supper Feather, in Corrales, the best Lightweight in Castillo, the no2 light welter in Gatti, the ring Welter in Baldomir and the ring Light Middle in Oscar.

Pacquiao fought the best at each weight... someones already posted the guys he's beaten so im not going to repeat it. Also, Diaz was arguebly no2 lightweight, and was the WBC champion.

They both fought great fighters and the opponents they beat make them worthy of being p4p no1 in the world.

I am not knocking who Floyd did fight, only pointing out that being the lineal champ does not automaticly make you the number one guy in the division. If I knock Floyd, its for who he didn't fight. You will never hear me utter a bad word about the talent or skills that have made him one of this era's best.

He gets credit for that but I don't hink he has fought better comp than Floyd. He fought a bunch of over the heel HOFers who wore themselves out by fighting each other 1st. And he is yet to convincingly beat JMM.
David Diaz was already lined up for Pac even before the Marquez fight. Bob Arum convinced Manny to fight JMM first. David in turn had to do an irrelevant fight while waiting for the JMM-Pac fight. He waited for Manny because Pac was a great oppurtunity for him. Nate was not the Champion back then and Juan Diaz was also busy.

** Note that JMM had to cut his paycheck to fight Pac just so Manny can fight him instead of David first.

their big money fights are both against hatton and delahoya.

difference is while floyd was taking the big money for lower risk fights , manny's big money fights are actually higher risk.

cotto and margarito had a better chance against floyd than oscar or ricky while oscar at 147 and ricky at 140 are more dangerous than the guys in pacquiao's division.

Floyd first ever fight at Light Middle wa against the ring magazines no1 light middle... cut Floyd some slack, this was no easy match for him. De La Hoya weighed much more than Floyd on fight night. This fight is a credit to Floyd as it showed Floyds ring craft in avoiding Oscars left hook the whole night.

Although i agree Cotto and Margarito had a better chance at beating Floyd than Hatton. Im not too sure about Oscar. He had a significant weight advantage.

                      not biased.

                      it's true.

pacquiao was the underdog to oscar and should be the underdog to ricky.

floyd was the favorite against both.

maybe it's because pacquiao is smaller. maybe it's because floyd is so much better than pacquiao. either way......oscar and ricky are more dangerous to manny than the guys in his division while they were less dangerous to floyd than the top 2 guys in his division.

don't you think ricky and oscar has/had a better chance of beating manny than beating floyd?
