And thats including a Hopkins rematch, after Hopkins was robbed in the 1st fight.

Now you say Tarver was shot, thats why Calzaghe shouldnt have faced him? How the **** is that a justification when he fought a guy that was 4/5 years past his prime. You've simply made excuses for why he did'nt fight the guys that called him out.

You say im ****** for even thinking Froch is worldclass, erm i didnt call him worldclass, I simply named him as one of the guys that called him out.

Now Dawsons another guy on the list, who's willing to travel to Wales to fight him. But Calzaghe is too much of a ***** to accept Dawsons challenge.

Calzaghe's ducked more challenges than Floyd and Roy. Floyd and Roy have fought more guys that have called them out than Calzaghe.
Calling out doesn't mean ****, Fraudley Harrison has been calling out HW champs for years, are they ducking him now? If your idea of ducking is some random boxer who's in the same weight division calling someone out then every boxer is ducking everyone.

Hell the other week Amir "Glasschin" khan't was calling out Hatton, is hatton ducking him now?

the reason they called him out was becaus they know Calzaghe = $$

I said Tarver was shot in my first post, THATS BECAUSE HE IS SHOT.

His last good win was against a pretty much shot RJJ in 2005.

The guy is 40 years old and unlike RJJ isn't a household name.

Hopkins is better than all those names both in terms of resume and $$, a shot RJJ is better than a shot Tarver in terms of Resume and $$.

Dawson was nobody untill he beat johnson in April (the same time as Calzaghe beat Hopkins) and didn't cement his place in the LHW top 10 until be beat a shot Tarver in October by which time Calzaghe was already deep in training for RJJ.

Jesus wept, it's like talking to someone with senile dementure.

To be Honest, None of These Fighters Ducked Other Fighters, It was Always Down to the $$ That Fights couldnt Get Made..

Calz Wasnt a Big Name in his Prime
Floyd Fought Whichever Fights gave him more Money, Who can Blame him?
Roy Fought the Best in his Weight Division, it wasnt His Fault the Division was Relatively Weak in terms of Competition

The whole idea of fighters ducking is blown way out of proportion. It's easy to say someone ducked whoever looking back but there's probably a business or status reason behind most "ducking". I voted Calzaghe, but only because I think the competition he faced was the worst. The fact is that Joe wasn't marketable for big fights in his prime, probably because he was in a mediocre division for the most part and he's from Wales. That being said, I don't know if he could duck anyone. Who was even gunning for him?

None of them can be accused of ducking in my opinion, it's a bollocks poll in a bollocks subject.

Fair enough. The reasons you gave above make sense for all fighters. Money make sense, and if a certain fighter does'nt live up to the mighty £/$, the fights wont happen. This is true for all the fighters that have supposedly 'ducked' opponents.

True, but Joe Calzaghe ducked EVERYONE! FOR 10 YEARS he was taking mandatories fed to him and that's the appropriate term here. You know it, everyone knows it. The man can't fight! He boxes for **** and has a terrible defense. He was dropped consecutively by 2 40 year olds in the first round! Imagine if they had the stam to keep at it... I can't believe a guy who took 10 years to climb 7 pounds in order to face 2 40 year olds and retire (like robbing a bank while the guard is his launch break really) is being compared to a 5 division world champion who have never ducked anyone in his own 2 divisions and went up in weight from 130 to 154. There's no comparison possible. It's like comparing Ali to Valuev.

It wasnt really Calzaghes Fault, Warren deserves the Blame
