Haye should remove James Toney from the scene as a biggish-name with minimal risk.

      Klitschko-Gomez Update

Looks like WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will likely defend against mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Gomez on March 21, possibly in Stuttgart, Germany. Gomez’ manager Ahmet Öner told BILD that Gomez, who has been running on Southern California beaches through the holidays, will set up camp in Mallorca. The two sides are hoping to finalize the agreement as soon as today. Reportedly the Klitschkos’ initial offer of $1.2 million has been upped to $1.6 million.
Correct me if im wrong.. Is that the Gomez who beat Wlad in their Amateurs?

I don't know if he did or not.

But Gomez is four years older than Wlad, so it's not impossible that when Wlad was a teenager he might have been outpointed in a short fight by a man in his 20s.

Gomez has earned the title shot. Haye has nothing coming. Let him beat a heavyweight contender, then he can go to the front of the line. Maskaev shouldn't be a factor in any of this. Maybe Haye can do everyone a favor and eliminate him forever?

That would be a smart move for Haye - he would become the first boxer to KO Toney.

I noticed "Belly's Out" was ready to go down in the late rounds against Oquendo, only Fres was not aggressive enough to finish him.

You sayin that Wlad get's up everytime he get's knocked down? So has Haye and also of the three times Haye's been down on way to becoming undisputed champ only once was he knocked down and lost the fight. He's never been counted out and also Wlad has more power then Haye? Look at his last three fights dog! Rahman over the hill and overweight they go 7 rounds dancin around. 38 year old Thompson keeps it real competitive wit Wlad for 11 rounds! Ibragmov? Yea Wlad showed a lot of power in that fight, definitely his most defining fight of 08'. Wlad's style works for him but he wears dudes down wit jabs, Haye goes in and throws bombs takin em out early.

All I got to say is that fighters should have a minimum of 4 fights a year and should aim for 6.

In reality Vitali could probably fight Haye first and beat him so easily that he could fight Maskaev a month later. Obviously that wouldn't happen for business reasons alone.

are you ****in kidding me? a month later LOL vitali could fight haye and maskaev 2 on 1 and destroy them both. or if you really want to be realistic at least he would easily dispose of them both in the same night. he'd kill maskaev in about 2-3 rounds then they can bring in a fresh haye and he'd dispose of him in another 2-3 and still be anxious to go another 6 with Lennox Lewis, the scared *****.
