I wish, that would be perfect for everyone. but nope. the WBC wont allow that.
120 days, bah, what a pile of garbage. the chances of Vitali fighting twice in 120 or 180 days is about 0%Originally posted by FightnewsAccording to an exclusive memo obtained by *********.com, former WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev will get a chance to regain his title against the winner of a proposed fight between current champion Vitali Klitschko and mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Gomez. According to the memo, sent by WBC president Jose Sulaiman last Monday, Klitschko is to fight Gomez by April 30, 2009 with a potential extension allowed to no later than June 30. With Gomez getting his title shot it will clear the way for Maskaev (35-6, 26 KO's) to become the mandatory challenger. The winner of the Klitschko-Gomez fight then has 120 days to defend his title against Maskaev "with a possible extension of 60 additional days under extenuating circumstances." A period of 30 days, according to the memo, will be allowed after the Klitschko-Gomez fight to negotiate a fight against Maskaev, which, if not completed accordingly, will then go thru the traditional purse offer procedure.Comment

if haye has a puncher's chance against wlad then wlad must have a hydrogen bomb's chance against haye considering that 1. wlad punches much harder than haye and has proved this against all top heavyweight opposition not crappy cruiserweights and not against 'tomasz bonin' 2. haye's chin sucks far worse than wlad's which is underrated. wlad got up every single time he's been knocked down or out, haye got KO'd by a no name cruiserweight LOL. wlad is physically and technically better than haye in every way humanly possible anyway. 0% chance of haye to defeat either oneComment

the hell are you talking about he fought in mid october and now scheduled to fight in march which means that's 5 months i.e. less than 180 days so there goes your theory.Comment

do you even know what you just said? look, if he did fight in March it would have been about 5 months since Vitali's last fight.
now say Vitali fought Gomez in March. he has to face Maskaev within 120 days, maybe 180 days. he would also have to face Haye inbetween that time. so thats two fights after 6 months, as opposed to 1 fight after 5months. see the difference?
its extremely unlikely that Vitali would be able to face Haye and Maskaev during that time. best case scenario for that working is that he would face Haye 3 months after fighting Gomez, and Maskaev 3 months after Haye, and even that would be the very very end of the deadline. I simply dont see that happening.Comment

You may be right, but Haye and Maskaev will both be easy fights. He could fit both in 180 days if he wanted to.do you even know what you just said? look, if he did fight in March it would have been about 5 months since Vitali's last fight.

Gomez won't be as easy, and because his promoter Oner is crooked, we can expect the unexpected. I'm hoping Vitali will be fully focused for it.Comment
