#1) Williams and Forrest are both managed by Al Haymon. I can't ever recall two of his fighters being matched against each other.
#2) Forrest has said he is only looking for big fights. This fight doesn't even draw a crowd in their home state of Georgia.
#3) Forrest refuses to fight southpaws. That's why he is flagrantly ducking his mandatory challenger, Sergio Martinez.
#4) In the real boxing world, Ring Magazine ratings mean absolutely nothing.
1. so Forrest is only looking for big fights that's why he is not fighting p-will but he is ducking Martinez because he's a southpaw? why can't it be because Martinez isn't a big fight too.
2. And what fight is there out there for Forrest at this point in his career that is bigger than a fight with p-will? I can't think of any big draw fighters that will step in the ring with Forrest right now or atleast not bigger than williams.
3. and once again, Ring ratings might not mean alot to alot of fighters but if you have been following Williams' career thus far, ring ratings mean alot to him. Why else does he want to fight Margarito if not for the higher ranking? if its money he wants, why not pursue a fight in the mw division against Pavlik instead, which would make him a lot more money than a marg fight? and name me one fight in williams' career that he took for the money instead of the ranking?

Martinez is the interim champion and his mandatory contender. He (supposedly) has to fight him or drop his title. Forrest sure was a ***** about Mora keeping his obligations, too bad he doesn't see it both ways.
Forrest is trying to get a fight with Pavlik so he can cash out. You say that no fight is bigger for Forrest than Williams, but have you heard of even one promoter or TV network that actually wants that fight?
Ring ratings mean nothing to boxers. All they care about it how much they get paid. Anything else you read is BS.
Finally, you skipped my first point about them having the same manager. Unless it were a big money fight (and it never will be) or one of them gets a new manager, that is a deal killer.

I didn't argue the point of them having the same manager because I didn't really know if that was true or not so I just took your word for it. But usually managers don't pit their fighters against each other so that is probably true. But p-will seems like to me that he is directing his own career. if williams wants the fight with forrest, I doubt Haymon can convince him otherwise.
if p-will loses to a 38 year old boxer who is coming off of a 2 year layoff and has only 1 win in his last 3 fights then he should retire.
If Paul Williams loses to a guy who has been inactive, is a HOF and lost a very close fight to Hopkins at 170 (a weight he has never fought at) he should retire?? You realize Winky hasn't lost at 160 or below in basically 10 years and is one of the best technical boxers in the last 25 years right?? Or that Paul is very young and win or lose has a huge career ahead of him?? Clowns like you make this forum worse and worse by the day. BTW, Winky was robbed vs Taylor, stop spinning **** to suit your own trolling needs.

Yeah...Williams calls the shots, not Haymon. Stick to hockey geek. You know nothing.

so I have a different opinion than you on a boxing forum where everyone voices their opinions and you start blasting me? lol. I'm guessing you are not very well liked and have very few friends.

Williams has been more active and is probably more hungrier than Winky at this point in their careers. Winky has squandered away the tail end of his career!
