Be objective. Bernard made Joe look weak. Joe didn't even bother hurting Bernard and began punching with his palm instead of with his fist. I'm not talkin ***** either, video shows that they sacrificed power for speed to just tag Hop. Like I said, if he's gonna rematch ANYONE, it should be Hop. Not Jones.

I am always objective. Joe should not fight Jones or Hopkins again. How can you say Hop wasn't hurt? If he wasn't hurt he wouldn't have been pretending to be hit low too buy time when Calzaghe was starting to dominate him late. Hopkins always finishes strong except against Calzaghe. If Joe didn't hurt him he would've finished strong.

I don't think its only money. Look Calzaghe could fill the M-stadium now with 70K ppl. His drawing-power increased since the Kessler-fight. He could make ~10M $ fighting an average name like Johnson, Taylor or Dawson in Wales. But there is no real mega-fight out there, money or legacy-wise. Joe is not hungry anymore. I was shocked when i heard that he could motivate himself for the Hopkins fight, his first fight in the US. Joe's work ethic in the gym AND in the ring during the fight always impressed me. But he is not the same fighter anymore, he is not this hungry kid like 1-2 years ago when he fought Kessler or Lacy. It's not a shame after 20years of boxing. He is 37, not too young to retire. I don't think he will be a boxer again.

agree with you man, i think up until the build up to the kess and lacy fight especially joe felt as though he wasn't being given his credit and he wasn't. a fighter who isn't beng given his credit is always dangerous as he has a point to prove.

imo if tarver looks good in the rematch and still loses vs dawson then i wouldn't rule out JC taking on dawson. because i have the feeling that after a long 3/4 month break he might be re-invigorated and feel as though he can give dawson a good fight.

in an ideal world JC would take on johnson and then finsih off with dawson. but i know that JC doesn't have the hunger for 2 more bouts and should stick to the fight with dawson and even then thats if he still feels the hunger.

speaking more long term imo it is important for JC to take on dawson. alot of ppl still rank b-hop higher than joe on the all time lists which will no doubt irk calzaghe. personally i think JC deserves to be higher than hopkins but alot of US fans aren't buying it. if JC retires then hopkins will fight and probably beat dawson, if he does that argument for b-hop being ranked higher becomes a whole lot stronger. he would have become a 2 time LHW champ and beaten the future of the division.

however if JC takes on dawson and beats him then theres nothing left for hopkins to really do at LHW. he would have to retire or take on a lesser name tht won't add to his own legacy.

Longer it goes on the more i feel he has that one more fight. I think he's weighing up his options.
