During the fight hopkins trainer said it best, he hadnt faced some one with a jab and they allready making him a star, taylor didnt use his jab much againts pavlik. Black fighters and mexican fighters have been KOing people for years but they have not gotten the attention that pavlik has, Before the fight with hopkins i saw pavliks name in 4 ESPN show not even the golden boy has been able to do that in a while, was he hyped up yes, over hyped yeah maybe a bit to much to soon, but i think he will live up to it in the years to comeWhy are people calling Pavlik a "hype-job"? To point out the fact that he lost to a much older, fading great in Hopkins? To discredit Hopkins' win? To **** on Taylor because he lost twice to Pavlik?
I think Pavlik has earned the praise that he's received. He beat the hell out of Edison Miranda, KO'd then Decisioned Taylor. I admit, I've not seen much other than highlights of Pavlik's previous fights, but he's got the makings of a superstar boxer, and he's earned the recognition.Comment

Who hyped Kelly up to be a master boxer? The only hype I heard was that hes tough as nails and hits like a mule. From what I saw the Hopkins fight didnt change either one of those. He took his beating like a man and never landed a good punch to test how hard they were.Comment
