Mayweather-Pacquiao
Floyd Mayweather is a better boxer than Manny Pacquioa and would dominate him. Floyd is bigger, stonger, and punches harder at welterweight and is probably just as fast. I was wrong about De La Hoya, but I will bet large amounts of cold green cash that Mayweather will beat the Pac-man. I'm not even sure that Manny could have beaten a prime Diego Corrales at 130, much less Mayweather. Pacman is a great-featherweight, but don't let his domination of a De La HOya that looked like he couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time give you the impression that he can compete at welterweight. I will pick him against Hatton in a barn burner, but he couldn't even beat Cotto at 147.Comment

negative articles like this against pacman just simply make the pacman a really great fighter, he'd been criticized of winning against great boxers but always ends up victorious, then after proving his critics wrong they are non-stop with their excuses.. expect this again in his future fights against hatton, mayweather etc.. etc.......Comment

I by no means want to take anything away from a terrific win for Manny but I definately think Oscar was greatly affected by the weight. No excuses though, he chased the dollar and ended up paying for it. That is the way it goes.Comment

But you're taking something away from PAC, you're basically implying that w/o the "weight issue" DLChicken would've won.
Listen, when Floyd fought DLChicken at his "comfortable weight" of 154lbs, he was good for about 4-5 rounds and he started gasping for air like he usually does in big fights. If he was huffin' and puffin' by the 6th against a fighter that has a low workrate, I wonder how he would've dealt with all the zig-zaggin' and punches coming from all angles that PAC would've fed him.
Y'all gotta remember, it wasn't so much that DLChicken was backin' Floyd up, Floyd wanted to play around with the b*tch and decided to do some rope-a-dope and show-off his D. PAC, as you saw did an excellent job of staying off the ropes, I don't think a 154lb DLChicken would've done that much better, perhaps he would've shown more resiliency taking PAC's punches, but, all that movement would've tired his @ss out.
There's a sports term they use for athletes that fail in the big game and DLChicken should be the poster boy , I think they call someone like De La Chicken a CHOKERLast edited by We want Floyd; 01-05-2009, 12:39 AM.Comment

If you are asking me if I think that De La Hoya would have beaten Pacquiao without the weight issue (i.e. at 154) then yeah, I do. Go watch Oscar against Mayorga then tell me that Pacquiao would have been able to do what he did to a focused and fit Oscar. That version of Oscar takes Pac out early. But you're taking something away from PAC, you're basically implying that w/o the "weight issue" DLChicken would've won.

You couldn't have picked a much worse fight to gauge on how DLChicken would've done against PAC if DLChicken would've come in heavier. For you and folks that are clueless, Mayorga is a f**kin' statue his athletic ability at the prizefighting level is at best a C grade. PAC is the complete opposite of Mayorga .If you are asking me if I think that De La Hoya would have beaten Pacquiao without the weight issue (i.e. at 154) then yeah, I do. And lastly, how f**kin' dare you.Comment
