I disagree with all the "EXCUSE MAKERS" on behalf of ODLH. The Pacman obviously overwhelmed and completely surprised Oscar to the fullest extent. There is no doubt that ODLH was looking strong, confident and ready to destroy the Pacman. You can see it in the first round on. The Pacman took the fight out of him with his brilliant display of punches and footwork. As I had predicted, the Pacman would "Shock and Awe" the entire boxing world. I was correct and proud of that. It's his humility that I respect above all else, but it is true that gimmicks and superficiality will always be what keeps generating cash. After the fight Pacman said he was "lucky" to win which blew me away, hell I know he knew better than that but that just goes to show what kind of person he is.

Still a De La Hoya fan, but Manny is a true man of honor. I would gladly shake his hand if I ever bumped into him.

Even a weight drained De La Hoya shouldn't have been dominated from the opening round by a much smaller fighter. The difference is, Pacquiao is no ordinary fighter and that's where people should give him his due.

Team De La Hoya failed to see the improvement made by Pacquiao as a boxer coming to the fight and the brilliant strategy and training Roach has devised specifically to defeat Oscar. They also thought that there will be no way for Oscar to lose to a small guy coming from two divisions down, and to erase their advantage in size, Oscar deliberately tried to weigh lighter than Manny on fight night. He wasn't worried of going the distance because he was confident of taking out Pacquiao early (you can see that in the first round when he tried to deliver a huge uppercut after they got entangled but missed). When Oscar failed to even find the target to deliver the knockout blow, everything fell apart because they didn't even have a plan B.

Pacquiao's overwhelming victory should be attributed more to the strategy devised by Roach and the ability of Manny to execute that plan perfectly---not to Oscar's coming too light, which was the plan by the experienced boxer (Oscar), the brilliant trainer (Beristain), and the wisdom of a great consultant (Dundee) all along!

Seriously, Oscar weight loss articles are too much. How about articles like, Oscar got what he deserved. Everyone knew this fight was pointless. Oscar had nothing to prove and Pac took the fight to hopefully highlight his greatness. Their was no reason for Oscar to take this fight at all, he had NOTHING TO PROVE.

Can we finally get an article titled
"Oscar bit off more then he cold chew" rather then these weight loss excuses.

Exactly, A well implemented game plan. Take Oscars weapons away, jab and left hook, what do you have? A replica of the Delahoya statue sitting in front of Staples center. Looks like they replaced Oscar with the statue that night.

This **** issue about weight is still not done! Of course Oscar was dead at lower weight. Oscar was too bothered about Roach saying that Pacquiao will have an advantage if Oscar comes overweight. Maybe Oscar thought that he was more susceptible if he comes heavy and he couldn't move fast and couldn't chase Pacquiao. But t'was all wrong.
