Quite a clear consensus that Calzaghe would win really, especially considering most of the posters on this site are of Dawsons nation (a factor, tis all I'm saying).

Before the RJJ fight a lot of people really weren't convinced Calzaghe was really the best LHW despite beating, the best LHW. When Hopkins showed he wasn't shot that excuse went out the window, and Calzaghe did look like un beatable LHW against RJJ. He was more built at the weight, and pretty impressive speed.

There's always certain advantages a fighter brings to a fight and yes Dawson has a few key ones such as being south paw, and 6 foot 3 and quick. But that said Calzaghe would still find a way to get quite a clear UD with his own advantages of south paw and speed aswell, plus solid chin and much better ring intelligence, tactics and adaptability.

Dawson by knockout in the later rounds. I have much respect for Joe and his boxing skills but Dawson is too young, fast, accurate, and strong for Joe at this point in his career. He needs to keep on fighting the fighters from his era that he avoided early in his career if he wants to stay undefeated.
