Vitali will nearly be 38 by the time the fight happens
as you said he will have fought once in nearly 5 years
Haye probably prefers his chances against old Vitali and his broken down body

also very few know who Haye is in America, Wlad has got a contract with HBO, Arreola is more well known and i presume HBO pushed for that fight

If Haye beats Vitali (which probably wont happen) then it sets up the fight with Wlad and an interesting storyline.

Another thing is Vitali probably wants a good money fight like this before retiring and Gomez would not have brought that, I dont think he had any motivation to fight Gomez and then Maskaev after that to be honest.

lol @ the Haye ****riders who think that Wlad is scared of Haye.
Chinny cruiserweights performance against Enzo and Barrett have put alot of fear into Wlad

Haye has beat nobody for Wlad to even be slightly worried about him.
Haye has talked a massive amount of **** and now its time to prove he is the real deal in the Heavyweight division. Talking **** only gets you so far and for David I think its gonna end up with him on his ass.

Hypejob or Legitimate Heavyweight we will see
    I Say the former

Arreola has had more experience at heavyweight than Haye, hasn't he?

Chris has had 26 fights, Haye has had 23. They are very close to the same age.

Remember when Haye fought, and Vitali (not Wlad) showed up?

How about when Haye had a photo done of him holding Wlad's severed head, and Wlad responded by...well, he didn't, did he?

Or when Wlad fought Rahman, and Haye showed up?

This was all so that he could duck him in order to face Vitali? Right, that makes sense

Wlad was preparing to fight Rahman at the time of the Barrett fight.

Yeah its kind of ******ed to suggest that Haye "ducked" wlad when its obvious that vitali was pushed unto haye...Haye doesnt and cant call any shots, he gets whats thrown at him and that happens to be vitali.

He could get into the next WBO eliminator against Dimitrenko, if he REALLY wanted to fight Wlad.

He could earn his shot at Wlad's three titles, the same way Thompson and Povetkin did.

He has pursued Wlad from the start. He has been calling out Wlad since before Vitali came back.

If he was looking for an easy title win, he would've called out Peter, who is fat and slow, or Valuev, who is big and slow. Instead he went for the main man.

I'm not saying he deserves a shot at Wlad. I think Povetkin deserves it more and would probably beat Haye. But I do think that Haye wanted/wants a fight with Wlad and did his best to get one.

vitali is a tougher fight for haye than wlad.

i give haye a chance in beating wlad and no chance at all in beating vitali unless vit gets old overnight.
