I think this is blowing out of proportion. I think Floyd is being hated on (mostly on these forums for some reason) because of his character. It's that simple. He goes on and talk a lot of crap which to most of the people in these forums do not like.

Though the hating Floyd cuz he ducked so and so argument can be brought up onto any fighter. But all in all, it's simply because of Floyd's character.

Guzman is slightly faster, slicker, can fight against the ropes and has the MUCH better defense. But yes, Pac is damn fast

but with your admission on the handspeed being comparable, i'll break it down like this: Guzman was CONSTANTLY able to beat Soto to the punch...i watched that fight 8 times and Soto looked like he was in slow motion...


now take away Guzman's tendencies to apply his superior boxing tendencies ie being slick, defensive, and fighting off the ropes and what you get in a manny-soto fight (potentially) is the same kind of accuracy except its you replace that slickness with relentless aggression...soto doesnt make it past 10

Didn't know floyd started out at 106 as a limited one dimensional fighter

lets put it in perspective, it would be like James Kirkland moving up to LHW, changing up his style to be more of a slick boxer and being INCREDIBLY effective with it, winning a belt, then going to CW and DOMINATING the same way.

Manny didn't come up having all the attributes Floyd did, yet he was able to do it in a more impressive fashion.

and Floyd was the favorite over DLH, who was the favorite in DLH/Pacquiao?
