B-Hops defence and technical abilities have been on display against world class compitition,Mayweathers has looked great always, but judging from his limited opposition,Id have to go with B-Hop on quality!!

I've heard of Ecuadorian gangsters showing up in his hotel room trying to rattle him leading up to the fight, not sure if it's true though.

Yeah, anyone can look like a defensive genius against the Gatti's of the world.

Yeah it is true and they were armed and were kicing down doors for inspection. Could have been a way to put fear in him

B-Hop. he is a better boxer, counterpuncher, defensively, footwork, and everything.

idk.... there is nobody that can beat pbf twice in a row, or beat him as plainly as rj did hopkins......

as far as skill goes, bernard edges him, however, floyd is more athleticly gifted... so floyd is the better boxer all around.....

Plus..... the only reason that floyd gets hit is because of the style he defends in....... bernard doesnt block, he simply moves outta the way...

floyd is the better puncher, and im not a fan of how hopkins uses tricks on the inside (like that headbutt followed by a right hand)

pbf is better all around, but both are great

no contest, mayweather by a ****ing mile. floyd is the better counterpuncher and much more elusive than b-hop ever was. you talk about age, floyd's best defense is his blocking, not his ducking punches. b-hop is hard to hit, and rolls off of punches very good, but floyd is the better defensive fighter and overall more skilled fighter. the thing that people seem to forget and i can't stress it enough is how good floyd counters off of the block, something hopkins has never done effectively. floyd's overall the more skilled fighter. compubox doesn't lie. flyd surpassed roy jones by a big number as far as hitting and not being hit, and after the hatton fight, it was shown. lampley mentioned it also. hopkins said it himself, at the hatton/mayweather post conference, floyd is the best fighter of floyd's generation and hopkin's. nothing else needs to be said. dominance in that ring goes to floyd, no question. i look at his fights against tony pep and gatti of course and his fights with coralles best describes his masterful defense. again people watch how tactiful floyd is vs justin jukko. upperbody movement, body positioning, angling, floyd does this better than any fighter. fighting off of the ropes goes to floyd also. his rope fighting and shoulder roll is the most effective defense i've seen in an elite fighter in years, hopkins it very smart on defense because he is witty as far as making you look bad, but not making himself look good though. not saying hopkins has always looked bad, he is one of the best i've seen, but floyd is on a different level overall, that's all. hopkins vs oscar de la hoya is the fight that stands out for me, when he was getting outboxed by oscar, floyd outboxed oscar. stats don't lie people. i feel james toney is more comparable to floyd defensively than hopkins is. just defensive stylewise, floyd is the better fighter, and better boxer also overall.
