Still, they are mostly poinless fights. Sure you have Hopkins beating Valuev, but really what does that mean when 46 "I'm shot to pieces" Holyfield beat him [unoffcially].

Pacquiao-Cotto would be good money, but really what does that gives us besides probably an entertaining fight that Cotto wins? **** even if Pacquiao did win, there would be even more pressure for a Margarito-Manny, which isn't happening.

Pacquiao needs to fight people more his own size. Cotto is more so his height, but he is much physically bigger. Mayweather vs Pacquiao would be a smaller size difference then Cotto vs Pacquiao would imo.

    I agree with that!!!!!!

Hopkins puts on a boxing clinic against Valuev and becomes WBA heavyweight champ.
Bhop is already getting into the Hall of Fame - but this win would elevate him as one of the P4P all-time greats.

nope. people will gun on Cotto for picking on smaller guys. that causes problems instead of solving.

margarito should fight quintana, who has a Win over paul williams, the only Win.
also, margarito would then have to be called the "Boriqua Killer"...

also, glen johnson deserves a rematch against bernard hopkins, and
gentleman glen johnson never gives a weak performance, he will give you your
              money's worth.

              merry xmas all !

That writer is NUTS for saying that Pac and Cotto are even in power. Cotto's power at 147 is even greater than Pac's at 130. This is a HUGE mismatch. Even is his loss, Cotto ****ed up Margarito's face. Every opponent of his looks VERY different after fighting him. Pac couldn't even KO a VERY over the hill Barrera, nor a chinny Marquez.

Also, the difference between how much damage they do to an opponent's body is so huge it shouldn't even be discussed.

You’re already taking down the decorations that once clogged up your winter wonderland of a yard.

For all intents and purposes, the holidays are over. No more traffic jams near the mall or shoppers lining up at 3 a.m. to bum rush the doors at Wal-Mart. No more Christmas trees or jingle bells either.

As we gather on this Dec. 26, all that’s left is credit card debt, empty pockets, and a few ugly sweaters. Ever the eternal optimists, we at BoxingScene have just the right recipe to help you overcome that holiday hangover though.

With the New Year upon us, let’s take a look at four gifts we’d like to receive by next Christmas, all of which involve the sweet science. With preparations for 2009 already beginning, here are four bouts we’d like to have under our tree by December 2009. [details]
Its amazing how little some of the contributing writers on here know about the sport, Cotto Vs Pacman is a total mis-match, Cotto is far bigger and stronger then Pacman could ever be at 147.

Hopkins would need to put on at least 30 pounds of muscle and come in at 210 at least to with stand the physical holding of Valuev, not to mention if he gets tagged with a shot, a long shot i know with Valuev being as agile as a baby rhino........

Willaims/Forest would be the only viable fight and i think Williams out works Vernon to a UD.

                    Happy Holidays.

Chad Dawson has some unfinished business with Glen Johnson. Their rematch must happen in 2009. In order to issue a challenge to either Hopkins or Calzhage, Dawson does need to prove that he isn't afraid of a tenacious veteran that Johnson is.
