Why do you think Floyd is hated so much?

Here are some reasons and you can pick:

Is it because the guy hasn't fought the top welter weights?
Yet, Floyd is probably the greatest Super Feather and was really great at other weights including all the way to 140 lbs. How many great fighters actually dominated even 2 divisions the way Floyd has?

Is it because Floyd is a boxer and not a brawler?
It must of slipped my mind because I could of sworn that the sport was called BOXING! I myself can appreciate a good polished boxers just as much as I can enjoy a brawler or hard knock out puncher. Why can't you guys?

Is it because he is a loud mouth and ****y?
Hello, you are in one of the most violent sport. A sport that is built around individuals, of course you are going to be ****y. Think of all the attention this sport has received because of Floyds attitude. Hell, 24/7 won an Emmy basically because of his great work. Boxing needs fighters like Floyd and David Haye to keep the spotlight on these guys.

Its just like any other sport. People like to see the top fall. People want to see the Yankees lose, New England Patriots, or any Dynasty for that matter. I am not sure why people like to see this but its just in our blood I guess.

So I ask you boxingscene, why do you hate Floyd Mayweather so much?


P.S. I don't even like Floyd that much. My favorite fighter is Cotto but I do realize and respect the overall greatness and skill of Floyd.

My issue with Mayweather Jr (issue NOT hate) is.. I have always said Mayweather was a charismatic and personable man.. and right up until the Gatti fight he was always the perfect gentleman..

Then he just got REAL ****y.. which is fine.. BUT then he started with the self proclamation stuff.. and THAT is where I get upset.. NO ONE.. and I mean NO ONE will ever tell me what MY opinion is.. and FLoyd thinks he can tell me what I think and feel..
