Why do you think Floyd is hated so much?

Hello, you are in one of the most violent sport. A sport that is built around individuals, of course you are going to be ****y. Think of all the attention this sport has received because of Floyds attitude. Hell, 24/7 won an Emmy basically because of his great work. Boxing needs fighters like Floyd and David Haye to keep the spotlight on these guys.

Is it because he is the top dog right now?
Its just like any other sport. People like to see the top fall. People want to see the Yankees lose, New England Patriots, or any Dynasty for that matter. I am not sure why people like to see this but its just in our blood I guess.

So I ask you boxingscene, why do you have Floyd Mayweather so much?

P.S. I don't even like Floyd that much. My favorite fighter is Cotto but I do realize and respect the overall greatness and skill of Floyd.

Because he said "He was GREATER then SRR, Ali" and said he was the best WW. Reason why people jump on him. I'd say his mouth but in reality...Ali was 5x worse so IDK

It because he is unbeaten and hand picks his oponents so he can stay that way. Then Floyd compounds this by talking tougher than he actually fights.

Nobody even cared to hate Floyd until he became #1 pound for pound, he talked so much trash and called himself the greatest of all time, if he stayed at 130 and undefeated at 130 he wouldnt be hated at all but he claimed to have beaten all rivals , cleared the divisions and missed major opponents, he has always been arguably one of the greatest 130 ponders ever and his talent is second to none but he has to fight all comers after 130,he didnt, he basically talks too much crap and he doesnt really back it up, he is one of the greatest 130 pounders ever but hes not a great fighter at higher weights

floyd became a ***** past 130, ****in ducker, hes retired and hes still talkin ****, pacquiao this, pacquiao that, fight pacman floyd if youre telling everyone you can beat him,

That's my main reason. Good boxer, but in reality he ain't fit to lace Robinson's boots. He has a lot of younger people fooled.

Ali usually backed up his claims, plus he spoke with intelligence and there was a humorous side to it. He was also politically very smart.

Color doesn't even come into it. Anyone who acts like that is a ****. Flawless missed out the real reason: Floyd has a loud mouth and can't back it up.

Now with Jack Johnson, white people really didn't like that there was a successful young black man ruling the boxing world, he existed in a time of intense racial tension. He wasn't even allowed to compete against whites for many years. Nowadays it's a whole different ball game.
