        Too bad 2009 will see...

        Joe ducking Dawson

        Hatton getting mangled by Manny

        Khan getting KTFO again

Vitali beating the **** out of Haye

        Merry Christmas, green toofs.....

            Great year for British fighters!

Joe Calzaghe (168, 175), Ricky Hatton (140) and David Haye (200) were the linear champions in their divisions in 2008, although Haye has now moved up. Carl Froch gave us an exciting fight in winning the WBC 168 title.

Some of the best up-and-comers in the sport are British, such as Cleverley and Mitchell.

And the Britain's Degale won a Gold in the Olympics.

next year could be more telling for British boxing

              depending on what Calzaghe does

plus Hatton vs Pacquiao and Froch vs Taylor or Kessler

and if that Vitali Klitschko vs David Haye fight gets okayed

2009 could be bigger then 08 if the Brit's can win the above 3 or 4 fights.

British Boxing Makes a Huge Impact in 2008

...but no matter what they or their fighters EVER say or do....England, or ANY other country for that matter, will NEVER replace The United States as THE Mecca AND Standard of Boxing Greatness.

I assumed the rest of the article was biased bull**** too.

                      these are all hypothaticals though

                      2009 could be great

but Haye, Froch + Hatton have to keep winning.
