How about if someone said "The Giants should play the Lions instead of the Titans because it gives them a better chance to win the superbowl and make more money?

Im not a fan of watching to see who can make more money.
why do people on here always compare boxing to other sports. It doesn't work that way, lol. The Giants have a schedule that they follow, and play the teams on that schedule week in and week out .. regarding the playoffs ... the Giants will play who ever advances to the next round

the fact that your even mentioning the Lions, (a team that didn't even make the playoffs and won't get to play for the Super Bowl kinda proves my point.)

I mean I get it .. feasting on the weaker opponents .. but Pro Football doesn't work that way.

never in the NFL season are the Giants allowed to pick and choose who they play

out of any of the Pro Sports Boxers probably have the most control over who they chose to fight. think about it ... Boxer's don't have a set schedule .. it's the job of there promoters to select opponents .. be it easy tune up fights, big money fights, taking on the best, or just plain old mandatory challengers

but compared to the New York Giants ... Ricky Hatton for example has a lot more say in who he faces in the coming year then the Giants for example

well I'll agree and disagree, as that's probably why DLH's maintained his popularity over the years. instead of blurting out that he's "about the money" Oscar disguises it by saying "it's a big event, probably biggest ever, great for the sport" .. which is basically a politically correct way of saying, hey it's a big fight, watch it.

well amateur boxers aren't about the money, I don't think they make any lol. but year good point ... when given the choice between $100 mill and $200 Mill it's pretty obvious what anyone on here would chose

that's the difference between a pro wrestler and collegiate wrestler for example .. 1 gets paid, the other doesn't
