Didn't say anything about other boxers, as I think it's generally disapointing in this day and age. But there's varying degree's. To say you want the best and will fight anyone, then say but not if it isn't the most money on national TV aswell, is lacking dignity and any love or respect for the sport, and on another level, imo.

Fighting the best is what you do when you're proving yourself on your way to the top.... fighting for money is what you do once you've reached the top. Thats why fans need to keep an eye on the new guys (Juanma Lopez, Andre Ward, the Peterson brothers, etc.)

Perhaps. I just think they are pretty much all about the money tbh. There might be a select few but I think the vast majority are dictated purely by the $$$. It is the same in all sports. Look at the EPL, how many of those guys you think are not 100% motivated by money?

This is how he puts food on the table for his kids. A lot of fans, including myself sometimes, criticize fighters for only being about the money. But when you put yourself in their shoes, and look at it from their perspective, it does make sense, and it's all easier said than done when your not the fighter. But Jermaine always fights the best fighters, man never takes an easy fight. And even when he lost to Pavlik, he showed improvement in the second fight.

Few boxers arn't about the money. But thats just Jermain Taylore being Jermain Taylor he'll talk the talk and he'll try and back it up. And you're right if you're good enough the money will be there, but theres always somebody better. I can remember a few fighters that missed out on the money fight because they were about the opponet and or about a fair deal didnt' matter that it was there biggest payday.
