I am a Taylor fan (obviously) and I can agree with you on that. I remember watching it on tv after the Spinks fight with a room full of people (his hometown fans, no less) and we all pretty much trashed him for being classless enough to say that in the post-fight interview.

At least Taylor is saying he'll fight anyone, even if it is for a paycheck. You've got guys out there like Mundine that go running away from anything remotely competitive.
yeah..at least hes not acting like felix strum

I don't feel sorry for Jermain because he isn't in a position where he is in need of sympathy. The guy suffered a couple of losses to a great middleweight. He then jumped up 8 lbs. and beat a solid sumpermiddleweight. He's got a lot of damn good opportunities ahead of him. Why would any of us feel sorry for him. Go JT!!!

The same can be said for ANY athlete. I wish all athletes can make millions upon millions of dollars, but at the end of the day, they live off the fans, and if im going to contribute to an athletes millions, then i want to be entertained. Which means, i want to see the best take on the best.

How about if someone said "The Giants should play the Lions instead of the Titans because it gives them a better chance to win the superbowl and make more money?

Im not a fan of watching to see who can make more money.

I didn't realise Taylor was so much about the money, disapointing.

Haha, you need to wisen up a little. 95% of them are 100% about the money. They just don't want you to think it.

If you had five kids to feed, a mother to support, and other extended family members who depended on you financially (for work more than handouts), you'd probably care that much about money too...

But like I said, to broadcast it to the world shows a certain lack of taste...
