Both of them are going to retire in the next year or two, and that's going to be a tough pill for me to swallow. Hell I've been watching Hopkins since I was about 11 years old, and I'm 23 now. Time flies.

Speaking of Roy, I was watching TV earlier and I'll be damned if on one of the channels it wasn't an episode of Snoop Dogg's TV show, and he was sparring with Roy in the ring. Caught me completely off guard.
Defo, a lot of guys are talking or retiring in the next couple of years which is a real shame. Have to ask, why now when there's even less injuries are they wanting to get out earlier than most did? We've come a long way per your thread on that, but we have some way to go. I'd love to see Haye get a HW title but I see him losing to Vitali and then in his own words retiring cos he'd look silly after mouthing off. Well then work your way up you header.

Roy sparring with Snoop Dogg, WTF, that **** would stop me in my tracks, hopefully you weren't eating at the time I'd be choking with laughter/shock. He seems to be a little deluded and didn't take Nard's words in enough, thinking he coulda won without the cut. But he could do an Evander on us, and actually win I spose.

Tell who I really am not fans of; Froch, Woods, Hatton or Witter.

I'd rather watch Kessler, Dawson, Pacman and Williams.

David Haye is the man at the moment.

Exactly the same as me, Kris.

I've been too nice about Froch in the past. Nowadays he just pisses me off and he lost my support.

But he's 31 years old, with over 40 pro fights, and has done nothing amazing whatsoever. His best win is over Andrade, who, while a good guy in real life, is not a stellar opponet by any means.

He only has a few years left to start making any kind of headway with big opponets, and the only way I see is for him to goto 175lbs. Otherwise he'll be another footnote in the history of Super Middleweights. A nice record overall, with no real standout opponets. Aside from Joe, whom he lost to quite convincingly.
            Kessler is only 29.

I think the money is a big factor in some of these guys getting out earlier than they used to. You can make so much more nowadays that you don't really have to keep on going, unless you're someone like Hopkins who is more concerned with legacy, or Holyfield who still believes he has it in him.

And there's a whole angle of threatening retirement too. Mayweather's fake retirement, Jeff Lacy faking retirement before the Taylor fight, etc.... Guys are guaranteed to get headlines if they say they're hanging them up.

Yeah Roy and Snoop were sparring. Snoop loves boxing, a lot. He was talking about it deeply too, about what people don't realize about it, how much dedication it takes, the whole 9 yards. I had no idea he loved boxing. He boxes to keep fit, but he really sucks. I mean really sucks, he makes Pavlik look like Pep in there.

I like him as a fighter and respect him but I don't like the way he acts at all.
