Manny has to fight at 140 now; Freddie said so; he is struggling at 135 so it's the smart move. If he stayed at 135 he might show up weight-drain one day and we wouldn't want that.
It will be easier to get fighters to move up from the 135 division than having fighters move down from 147. Manny at 140, will show up at least 147 pounds by fight time so he will be the same as others in the division.
I kind of doubt Floyd would go back to 140 after years of being away. Draining weight may have an effect on him and if I was his advisor, I would suggest to not doing it. He could just do what he did with Hatton and that is to make fighters from 140 move up so they can skip the weigh-in drain. However, if he does come back, I would suggest fighting Margarito because that is the biggest legacy fight out there and people may stop calling him a *****...but of course, if I was his banker, I would suggest fighting Pac or Hatton. Then again, he is Retired.
Manny should still be a beast at 140 and will be exciting as usual.
Hatton next, then....who?
