pacquiao wouldn't be as good as he is now if he hadn't fought jmm. rivalry/contention is what made the pacman that we know now. all thanks to the like's of this great fighter
My brothers dislike him as well... They like Morales a lot though... I tell em JMM has a lot of heart, and what he showed in the ring, getting up 3 times and never quitting, gives him the credibility of being genuinely butt hurt outside the ring, which justifies his behavior in my eyes...The fight was hella close and it must be a heart wrenching experience to be so close to the mountain top but fall short twice after all the hard work put in.. So I understand were he is coming from. Many fighters complain even when they lose by a bigger margin than JMM... It is this same Persistence and desire that makes JMM formidable in the ring.

Margarito keeps throwing and gets stronger as the fight goes on.

One thing is for sure though, it would be exciting since Pac is only in exciting fights.

I doubt Freddie would risk it unless Margarito and Cotto beat the **** out of each other so bad next time out that there is nothing left to worry about.

Plus, I'm not sure how many people would want to see Manny take that chance of being brutally beaten like Cotto was...and it would be worse if Margarito starts to catch Manny. I don't want to see it. Manny's too cool and humble to go out like that and he shouldn't be fighting at 147 anyway.

margarito has the habit of ducking his head against smaller fighters, so the reach part should not be an issue. dont be too sure about margarito laughing off pacmans punches, he may have a strong chin but pacquiao punches are prone to making cuts and bumps which is eveident with the diaz and de la hoya fight. speed kills

pacquiao and cotto are different. pacquiao style is unique and is all heart. everytime he fights in any circumstance, you always see fire in his eyes, something cotto lost in the later rounds againts margarito

MANNY fought only once at 135. Sure he showed up at 147 for oscar, what did you expect? Manny to come in at 130??? BOTTOM LINE IS........ oscar's PLAN BACKFIRED

I don't see it...not even the version that has paraded around like the one time Pretty Boy Floyd.

this one is a matter of opinion. if you think pbf is a better fighter, then i have no business to disagree

i used to dislike him but his counterpunching talent change my mind

he schooled pacquiao and no one can deny this, even pac knows this as well. he thought pacquiao control and resilience(something pac lacked). this improvent is apparent on the diaz fight

Margarito laughed at Cotto and Cintron...two punchers that make Pac's punches feel the same as a mother's hand patting a baby's bottom. If Pac would win, it's from not getting hit and point fighting Margarito.

Diaz isn't even worthy of being mentioned next to Margarito in terms of fighters...and I'm not talking about P4P weight b.s., but actual fighters.

Oscar = Corpse = doesn't count = clouds your vision

Cotto has lots of heart and fought smart. Freddie said Cotto should have went to the body, but I thought I read Cotto said he tried but just couldn't. Margarito throws a ton of punches and a varitey. The guy bruises the body.

It's always possible, but I'm with Freddie with this one.

What gives Manny a chance is his speed and agility, however, could he last against Margarito...Cotto couldn't and he can take more punishment with his body. Remember, Cotto was moving during the fight. If Manny was a natural welter/started his career there...yeah, I could see it. Even though Pac is 147 pounds and is thick, he doesn't come off as a true Welterweight given fighers show up 10+ pounds over the limit by fight-time.

Manny would be hit in the match.

Of course it is opinion. Most of what we discuss is opinion. Were talking about lightweight Floyd though, right?

Yeah, I mentioned that in one of my posts: he deserved it since he tried to take advantage of the situation, and he either forgot his history or didn't pay attention.
