2 fights left for him (as what Roach stated), both of them against Hatton and quite possibly against Floyd. And if Floyd didn't unretire he would probably fight Marquez. Now is there a top welter in there?Originally posted by EL HANDSOMEPacfans are expecting too much of him. There is no way he can compete against top Welters.

Manny should camp at 140 and make fighters move up or down to face him... Mayweather should go to 140 and JMM should move up to 140.... With all that it took for his body to be effective at 147, I think 140 is his most potent weight. He loses something if he goes back to 135 and is at a disadvantage at 147.. 140 is perfect.Depending on which people you talk about:
There are some die-had Pac fans that think he is now the best at 147 after beating weight-drained Oscar...so, in return, you have posters, like
, saying he should now fight the best at 147 and stop being like Mr. avoider of 147 himself, Floyd, and fight Margarito, Cotto, and maybe get Williams back down.
It opened the debate when he moved to 147.
Manny should be fighting at 140, no more. He hasn't said he was the best at 147 like Floyd did, so he gets a pass from me.Last edited by Alibata; 12-18-2008, 11:49 PM.Comment

totally agree
he was 147 with the fight against diaz and i would call that his best form, lightning speed and mad powerComment

same here, hope floyd unretires thou, it would be an epic fight
after he beats hatton, i dont really see anybody being able to touch him exept for the top welterweights. i dont think jmm is going to carry the moving up in weight as good as pacquiao. jmm should stay at lightweight, fighting a peaking pacquiao at jww is suicide imoComment

carzy pac fans who think just cause he beat oscar de la hoya at that weight that now he can take on the likes of marg, cotto and paul ****ing williams.....
don't let my avi fool you....i like pac....but he should figt at the weight i think he'll do best at.
aggred..... he shouldn't fight past 140...Depending on which people you talk about:

i rather have one of my favorite fighters fight in the lower divisions and maybe make less money than risk fighting someone who is bigger than him (margarito) and maybe end up punch drunk.
plus...there JMM still! that a fight people are looking foward to considering the conterverstal fights hey had!Comment

I really think this fight comes down to who's stronger. If Hatton can pressure Pacquaio and Pacquaio is consistently engaging in clinches, which I don't think Roach will allow, then Ricky will win. However, Manny is just to good, Ricky isn't a counter puncher, and these days, as i've said in other post, Ricky's chin is suspect. I really don't think he can handle Pacquaio's speed, power, or stamina. I think speed and a little bit of power kills Ricky. PACQUAIO TKO RND 8.Comment
