This time it's Bernard Hopkins: "Hopkins has cathegorically refused to fight Kessler," Palle says "He doesn't even want to hear the name any more even though we have made a very lucrative offer for him."

Joe Calzaghe has also turned down Palle so Kessler's US adventure seems headed for a fail. "As the big names say no our options for a TV-fight in the states vanishes. There are only so many big names", Palle says.

Last week Palle said that he almost had a fight lined up on HBO on March 14, but since Palle hasn't heard from the broadcaster he expects that date to be in limbo: "HBO should ¤#*@{@§* (insert extreme foul danish swearing here ) man up and decide what they wanna show. In the end they are the ones that calls the shots."

Palle expected to have an agreement with HBO in the middle of December but that deadline is postponed indefinetely. "We cannot wait on HBO forever" Palle says who acknowledges that Kessler's american dream might be temporarily at an end. Palle might now go for a big fight in Europe.

"A fight between Kessler and Carl Froch would be huge in Europe and Froch has several times said that he'd like to fight Mikkel."

Despite the dim outlook for a US fight Palle still has hopes for Kessler to face Jermain Taylor. "Taylor doesn't want to fight Winky Wright so I guess Taylor only has Mikkel left. HBO would like to show it, but whether they'll do it or not we simply dont know".
I think Bernard turning a Kessler fight down is ok at this stage in his career. Kessler doesnt bring big money to the table and Bernard, being at the end of his career is looking for big name big time fighters....Kessler to me doesnt fit that description eventhough i think he's a good fighter

It might only be Calzaghe Hopkins want. When Calzaghe said to Hopkins that he should take on Kessler Hopkins replied: "Ok. If it leads to you!". Joe didnt answer.

Here's an idea Abraham vs Kessler at 168? That would be a great fight and definitely be worthy of HBO championship boxing.

            Froch vs. Taylor
            Bute vs. Larsen
            Dawson vs Tarver
Lacy, Miranda, Pascal are coming off loses and Inkin won't come to the U.S.
I guess Kessler could fight Sakio Bika...that would be an exciting fight to watch. Allan Green comes up to mind but it's gonna be boring.

They are all afraid of him. There is no good reason to turn down 4+ million dollars unless you are dodging someone.

Hopkins is also an idiot trying to make it sound like Kessler is a nobody. He doesn't want to lose to another white boy and he probably would.

wtf are you talking about embarrasing? That was a good fight and Kessler did quite well actually. He also fought with a broken hand btw.

With or without a title, he should have fought Miranda, that fight would have opened doors for him in the US but he decided to get back the belt instead, maybe he should fight Bute.
