Why do people in the media (and also the celebrities themselves) completely ignore the white parent of a mixed race person and act like they're 100% black?

They're also usually raised by the white parent. Ignoring half your heritage/parent as I've seen so many do is pretty damn disrespectful IMHO...

Some people are brainwashed by the media/entertainment industry into believing it's "cooler" to be black.

It's a kind of reverse racism, and has been going on for 60 years now. I like old movies from before that time that don't usually portray the white people in a negative way.
