Froch's promoter can't make Froch/Kessler until Taylor walks away from the table, which we've seen no signs of happening yet.
This is all just hot air, probably a negotiating tactic to get a bigger split from Taylor, or to convince him to come to the UK.
Funny strategy, because Taylor himself is the name and financial draw in the division and could probably sign a fight with Bute or Kessler at any time.
I don't think Taylor is in any rush to fight Froch, because with TV money coming in over here it will most likely take place in the UK.
(We all know Americans have trouble finding their passports)
Froch vs Kessler would be a big event - Kessler is part-British anyway and well known, so they could probably sell out the City Ground 30k spectators.
Taylor could fight Bute, then fight the winner of this - then you have one guy with all three belts

Froch by KO IMO
It's a huge gamble for Froch and he's clearly going for the Calzaghe fight, which he could earn if he beats Kessler. At least it's possible then, cos it isn't now. A much harder fight than Taylor as well and he'll probably get KO'd if it comes to pass. One things for sure, if his defence is as bad as it was in his last 2 fights then it'll be over by the end of the 4th.

Good fight......I like Kessler in this one......I feel as though Froch hasn't fought anyone with enough pop in the right hand to make him pay for carrying his left so low....Kessler or JT were the fighters I felt would KO him.

I like this fight. Most will pick Kessler as the more skilled fighter, but Froch's last fight (a.k.a war) proved he has a very good chin; it'll be interesting to see if he can take Kessler's shots and slow him down with some of his own. Should be another good tear-up.

I would prefer to see Froch vs Taylor first as I like Froch and Kessler but i'm looking forward to seeing what actually gets made at SMW next year cos at the moment its just all talk but there are some amazing match-ups that could be happening in '09.
