imo if you were to take all of his opponents and stick them into a tournament then kess would probably win, joe that night came across something that he has never come across since and probably never will again. a man that he could not bully, a fighter who he could not dominate, like any real champ though he found another gear and pulled out the W.

the timing for that fight was spot on for joe, if it had come a year earlier or later imo he would have lost.
Yes, correct. First 12 rounder for Joe. Before that he'd blasted almost everyone out in a a couple of rounds. Joe had loads of power back then, before the broken hands.

1997 Eubank = great win for a green JC.

Prime Rob Reid was also better than some people give him credit for. Tough fight for for an injured Calzaghe.

Even Richie Woodhall was a solid win. Most people won't pay much attention to that one though.

Bika, as raw and lacking in finesse as he is, is a a major handful for any SMW, but Joe won a wide points decision and considering how dirty Bika fought, Joe did well.

Kessler was a great win. I rate Kessler very highly and I think he'd give anyone at SMW or light heavy a run for their money, or beat most of them comfortably.

Byron Mitchell -- heavy puncher. Good 2 round stoppage for Joe, even though I thought the stoppage came about 20 seconds too early.

Brewer and Calzaghe threw bombs at each other all night. A tougher fight than some might think. Went the full 12 rounds, and is actually a pretty solid win.

Hopkins going on to destroy Pavlik makes Joe's win look better, even thiough it's an awful fight.

And Jones, even way past prime, still had enough in the tank to drop Joe early and was still throwing punches in the last round. I think Joe somewhat took his heart away after getting off the canvas. The fight was lost for Jones right there and then.

There are a number of other, completely ignored wins, such as Eubank's cousin Bobbie Joe Edwards, a cruiserweight who Joe fought very early in his career.

So overall, not a bad resume, just not spectacular. 7.5/10 is a fair score. Some people are obviously gonna score it very low because they don't like Joe, so this poll probably isn't very accurate. They should try to score it honestly, but that won't happen, partly because they hate him, and partly because their knowledge of the people he fought is limited.

Dude, please stop trying to pump Roy Jones up to make Joe look good. This is one of the most transparent and weak things most Joe fans doe. Seriously, just no. Roy was done.
        Period.

Joe did say in his book, that Eubank was his toughest fight but, he did win the bout comfortably on points. Kessler, however, got a bit closer to Joe on the scorecards that night.
