To me, Floyd's only flaw is his lack of offense. When facing a fighter like Pac, the only fighters who have had success are the ones who have came at him. Floyd will not come at Pac. He would play defense and depend on counter punching. That IS NOT the way to beat Pacman.

His flaws are his bad hands and bad back; and change in mental style, which goes hand in hand

Floyd's like a lot of child prodigies; they burn out quicker as well because they were forced to love the sport instead of falling in love with it.

I think Manny should take the fight. If Floyd is beatable; it's next year.

Freddie only wants Floyd now because he is not the same fighter. I don't blame him, except, I think it is low-class to call out a fighter that is retired. If Floyd was still fighting, that's the way of the game; but he is retired.

floyd can be offenseive very effectively when he chooses to be, but his style at the higher weight class is to fight smart defensively and use his opponent's defense against them, but we'll see. i see mayweather crushing pacman, he's too methodical a fighter for pacman.

Im putting my entire life savings on Pacquiao if this fight happens. If floyd has any flaws it would be his consistency. He has 1 move defensively and that's it. He's jus really really good at it and that's what sets up his offense.

However...I've studied Pacquiao's last 2 fights backwards and forwards endlessly and see no possible way to beat him. His left hand is still pretty low when he jabs which leaves him open. But he no longer has tendencies which can be taken advantage of. His offensive game is now so varied there's really no way to stop the storm unless his opponent gets off 1st. That's not floyd's game and getting into a offensive firefight would be the last thing you wanna do against Pacman

Did you see the Hatton fight?

Floyd took off half the fight. Sure, he fought "OK" for half the fight, but once he stepped it up, which he showed glances of it during the first half, he started to beat Hatton's ass nicely.

Bring back Floyd's style as a lightweight-140 where he went out to win from round 1, I'll be more confident Floyd wins. But, can he still do that now?
Age, inactivity, bad hands and back...maybe, but I'm not sold until I see it.

Watch the Diego Corrales fight for example and see if you have the same thoughts. Head, body, feet...all were his defensive weapons.

BTW; Floyd fought Oscar at 154 when Oscar was healthy and hydrated. But yes, still past his prime; but not weight-drained and lifeless.

For Roach: Since he wants the fight and nothing has come from Floyd, guess who is in the position to call the fight? FLOYD.

Floyd has all the disadvantage: He's in his 30's, is inactive and isn't the same fighter from what I have seen in the past few years.

Flaws? Yeah, more now than ever...which is why Freddie wants him NOW.

I love Manny, but I would be rooting for Floyd on this one because Freddie is a *****. Great Trainer though. But, he has Parkinsons for a reason.

Both Oscar and Nacho went on the record to say that Oscar was NOT weight drained, nor was he unhealthy due to the weight reduction. Lets stop using that excuse. Especially since not even Oscar or anyone from his team are using it. Is Oscar past his prime and shot? Perhaps. But he's been this way since the Floyd fight.
