The fight should have been in Houston.

This will be a very good fight, it'll be interesting to see if Marquez can handle a lightweight leaning on him and making him work for 3 minutes of every round and it'll be interesting to see if Diaz can deal with Marquez' skills and counterpunching, should be a very good clash of styles.

I don't think so. If Marquez doesn't hurt Diaz, Diaz won't be deterred and would be giving out his usual high-volume output. At 35 years old, Marquez would grow old in minutes inside the ring against Diaz and everybody would start calling Marquez "shot" after the fight.

Diaz leaves himself too open when he's on the offensive, wouldn't be surprised if JMM stops him.

this is gonna be a good fight

Diaz and Marquez are both great fighters

I'd like to see both of them get a shot at fighting Pacquiao next year

I thought I was the only one thought that, before anyone jumps on me about this I just wanna make it clear... im a JJM fan. But age can be a factor here, Diaz looks to be entering his prime now and JMM has been getting caught by lots of punches lately, and that's not good, I think the accumulation of punches will wear JMM down.

I doubt either one would ever get a shot at Pacman, I think Pacman at the least will go down to 140(jr welter) but I doubt he'll return to the 135 mark...I would have loved to see a 3rd JMM/Pac or a Diaz/Pac but it looks to be out of the picture now.

JMM wasn't able to stop Juarez and I think Diaz' chin is just as solid as Juarez', and that's their only similarity Diaz is quicker, stronger, bigger, and is a lot busier. Juarez got the heavier hand though, but Diaz makes up for it with volume punching. Marquez grows old in this fight.

I'd like to see Juan lose some baby fat and move down to 130 where his power would be a factor. Amazing that JMM is still at the top at 35 years old, esp for a Mexican fighter. Should be a great fight, with JMM as the fav, but with Juan as a very live underdog.

I think being the live underdog, if he can somehow pull an upset, It will put Diaz in a whole new level, He may be the next big thing. And If he can get a rematch with Campbell and win, the loss can be forgiven.
Diaz is a good fighter I think he's underrated, he is an action fighter and tha's what Mexicans like, A win over JMM will bring him popularity in the Mexican Community
