This been confirmed? Great fight if so, fantastic clash of styles.

I've got JMM. I see his counter-punching winning him rounds, and I'm not sure Diaz can really hurt him.

JMM and Diaz have agreed to fight but money is a problem right now, so it's not official yet.

I just hope they can convince Marquez to fight in Houston, I don't see what the big problem is! Why would he not want to fight where he has alot of fans and fight infront of a sold out crowd? The crowd would be 50/50 cheering all night long for both fighters, I seriously doubt they will sell out at Vegas.

Diaz is a good fighter I think he's underrated, he is an action fighter and tha's what Mexicans like, A win over JMM will bring him popularity in the Mexican Community
I'm still not sure whether Campbell just has Diaz' number, or if it was just an off night. Either way, JMM is a much bigger win for him, career wise. Then he can set about avenging the loss, assuming Nate's chin doesn't fail him against Funeka (whoever that is.)

I think the venue is the only problem since Marquez does not want to fight in Houston. This fight will be huge over here!

The more I think about this fight the more I think Baby Bull wins this.

I think Diaz is willing to fight outside of Houston, that isn't the big problem right now, Schaefer was saying something about HBO not offering enough money right now to satisfy both parties.

agressive vs agressive = too many clinches and headbutts
defensive vs counter puncher = boring fight with neither dictating

but in this case it will be agressor(diaz) vs counter puncher(JMM) so it can't fail to entertain.

I can see Diaz winning a close split decision, or JMM winning by stoppage it's a 50/50...maybe even a draw...
Have you ever seen Casamayor fight before? He's one of the best boxers and counterpunchers in the game. OF COURSE he was going to catch Marquez. The question in that fight wasn't if Marquez was going to get hit, it was whether he would be able to take the power Casa was going to land with and he did.

What you didnt mention was that Casa put Katsidis down 2 times in the first and ultimately KO'd Katsidis yet he failed to wobble Marquez. Diaz prolly wont have the power to stun Marquez, but he does have workrate. But its not like Marquez hasn't fought anyone with a high work rate (Pacquiao).

I agree, although I think diaz should get a trainer that can teach him to move, no big changes just to polish him a little bit, if Diaz could get a little more defense going I think he could be a great fighter. He's young and has fought some dangerous opponents, big names too. And like somebody posted here...JMM was not able to stop Juarez and In my opininon Juarez is the slower less busier version of Diaz, but I admit Juarez has the strength from the two. All Diaz needs is better defense, although he fought almost a perfect fight against Katsidis.

Marquez is far better than Diaz.
