Everyone asked why would DLH dive against B-Hop when those theories popped up. 3 months later DLH & B-Hop are business partners and DLH's GBP makes money every time B-Hop fights.

Has everyone forgot GBP has promotional rights to Pacquiao? With GBP having a higher interest when Pacquiao fights another GBP fighter.

With DLH set to retire he needed to put over the next big star before he retired. All the talk of him continuing his career was just maybe to make it seem like he was in to the fight? With the pro-Pacquiao theme being pushed in the 24/7 episodes, the way DLH talked up Pacquiao to be "King Kong", perfectly placed news stories leading up to and on the day of the fight of DLH being worked over in sparring by smaller men could have been to add legitimacy to Pacquiao's huge upset win.

I'm not saying this is how or why the fight was fixed, but reasons why it's not an impossibility.

I think some of you who think that DLH threw the fight smoke crack. DLH's style is all wrong for someone like Manny. Manny has great lateral movement and can go in and out and side to side, while even moving his head quite well. Not only was DLH'S style so wrong for someone like Manny, he also weight drained himself which made the fight even more one-sided for that fact. But I think Manny would still beat a non-weight drained dlh pretty comfortably but not as comfortably as he won. Styles make fights

for all you biotchez who claim this was fixed i sat RINGSIDE that night and it was all out REAL action. i know alot of you might see a different point of view from your mommys couch, but i was there that night.

the first round manny really respected oscar and his size and power but finally threw the first punch and towards the end of the round he knew he had oscar and he could have his way with him.

manny said himself he knew from round 2 he had oscar.

manny was clearly in his prime and in tip top shape. oscar was not.

if u wanna see a fix watch oscar vs tito the 2nd half or the fake dive from boring-hop

But yeah It looked like it was fixed.

              Barrera I looks fixed
              Morales III looks fixed

Pac doest take a rest if he's opponent is in trouble thats why it appears to be fixed.
You would think people had never seen Pac whoop someone's ass this bad before lol... people are just making excuses for this fight because everyone thinks they are a ****in boxing guru that knows everything. everyone laughed and said this fight was a joke because everyone thinks size is everything. i and others said Pacquiao's speed would be too much for DLH and we were right. Stop making excuses for DLH and for yourselfs. Both were wrong. The End.

I know EXACTLY what part you're referring to without even having to check footage (no joke). It's when DLH gets against the ropes and Pacquiao steps in and out to tag him with combinations. At one point De la Hoya walks left, staggers, grabs the rope with his right glove and GOES BACK INTO THE CORNER. Larry Merchant mentions something about DLH not being able to lure Manny into a trap because he's too smart comes BEFORE DLH grabs on to the ropes. I've watched that part so many times I recalled it just by reading your post...one of the better highlights of Pac-man in the fight. He just clobbered DLH in that round.

DLH got it worse in the 7th than he did in the 8th.

Thats the same thing I was thinking. I think Oscar wanted to get stop in the ring instead of going back to his corner and telling them to stop it for him. The referee should have stopped it but he didn't want to for some reason. He was getting battered and there was nothing Hoya could do about it. He wanted to lose standing up then sitting down on his stool

dont get me wrong.. i wouldnt think this is a fix. the main reason being not the fight itself but... why the helllll would dlh toss this fight?

HBO set this fight up for oscar to lose. What other way for oscar to lose than to act like if he was completely shot. There was no way he could've lost a close boxing match or an all out war. He had to go out taking a beating. He probably took more shots than he wanted to but like i have said before he took the shots in the best place to avoid any serious injury. .
I dont get this.. wouldnt it be better if he did throw some punches and make it seem as if he was competitive. you're saying hbo has no one to carry the torch.. wouldnt it be better if he beat a dlh that is NOT shot.. or a savage pacquiao that could take dlhs punches? why the hell would dlh act like hes completely shot.. the only thing i can think of is if he is some pathetic **** and thinks it will make him be compared to ray leonard and muhammad ali and make people feel sorry for him.
