So just because He is 36 he shouldn't fight Dawson?

And he chose to come to America and fight hopkins, and Jones after their primes when he could have came over 3-5 years ago when they were 1,2, p4p. Calzaghe shouldn't even be in the top 5 P4P with Pac, Marquez, Margarito, Williams, etc.

He said the Jones fight was the best fight of his career. That is pathetic because Jones Is WAY past his prime, SinCE he got knocked out cold. He is a great just because he beat a 2008 version of JOnes. He isn't a ATG or a HoF in my book. His so called BEST WIN doesn't compare to any other greats Best Win. And thats straight up.
If you believe his wins against Hopkins and Jones mean nothing because they were past their prime then I don't see why you think Calzaghe Vs Dawson shouldn't be criticised in the same way. There's a bigger age gap between Calzaghe and Dawson than there was between Calzaghe and Hopkins, and Hopkins has shown he can still do it against fighters that are vastly younger - Yet the Hopkins fight was unfair, but the Dawson one wouldn't be?

Personally I'd love to see Joe fight again, no matter who it was against. But at this stage - It's all hypocrisy.

That, and Joe was looking to be in America years ago. He challenged Jones when Jones was on the top and Jones turned it down. Regardless to what you think the result of that fight would've been, you can't go around asking ****** questions like 'Why didnt Calzaghe want to fight these guys years ago' - He did, and Jones for one turned it down.

Even before their fight this year Jones commented on it, saying Joe should understand that he wasn't worth the risk then as he wasn't a big money spinner.

You forget that Joe has alot of respect for Roys name, thats probably why he sees it as his greatest fight. I'd be inclined to disagree with him there myself. If it was actually his greatest fight then yes I'd say it's pathetic, but neither of us seem to believe it was.

why are people still beatin this to death. everytime some guy named mitch or dirk starts talking about Joe being the greatest every one has to jump in and try to convince them of their mental deficiencies i just dont get it.

A good way to measure truth is to wait and see if Tunney comes in and agrees and if he does, the thread is complete ****. I didn't even know Klu klux klan members still existed...

BULLSHAT! Calzaghe is NOWHERE past his prime you moron, his first REAL win was only 2 years ago ******...against Lacy! You think he was in his prime at 26 like DAwson....hell no...he was fighting losers like Sobot, Thornberry, and Reid who the hell are these guys....they arent even up and commers and neither was Calzaghe. And hell yes if he is a REAL true P4P champ he better face the new fighters.....Foreman did when he faced Moorer he was 45 facing a 27 yr old 2 belt champ. SO HELL YEAH he NEEDS to face Dawson or he is just another chump. Im no hypocrite, just WAY more intelligent than you it seems....I give respect when respect is due and it aint do to Calzaghe till he fights Dawson. He shouldnt be worried or scared if he truely is the P4P champ.

So you find it unacceptable for two fighters past their prime to face each other (Cal vs Hopkins/Jones), but you think it's perfectly alright for a fighter past their prime, looking to retire (Calzaghe) to fight a young up and comer 10 years their junior (Dawson)?

                      You're a hypocrite.
