Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire should take Roach's offer. His career has stagnated while Darchinyan has become hot. He should try to fight Darchinyan again.

This offer is a double-edged sword. Roach does well with less experienced fighters, but his track record with veterans is dismal. Where Donaire falls on that spectrum at this point is anyone's guess.

          experienced as in OLD.

trainers can only do so much.

roach knows his stuff. those veterans would have lost with or without roach for the most part.

Wrong. He has made some huge blunders, most notably regarding Vasquez who he said was finished (something he also said about Hopkins) - both statements made immediately after losses in which he was involved as trainer. Coincidence?

That's the key word in every trainer/ boxer relationship. If the student is not willing, the teacher can only do so much.

Roach is gold with Pacquiao. I also have confidence with him in relation to fighters he can guide from the beginning of their careers, before stylistic clashes become too great to overcome. Other than that, he's yet to be proven.

This is what I don't get, Roger Mayweather is regarded as one of the best trainers in boxing because he trained Floyd Mayeather Jr who was p4p no.1 but yet Roach is overrated because he trains the current p4p no.1. It's bull****.
