People need to THINK about it. Lil Wayne getting 1.1 Million people to buy his rap album for TEN dollars was one of the biggest thing in music. Now, if 1.25 Million people decided to pay FIFTY FIVE dollars for a 2 hour long broadcast they can't watch again (unless they also pay for DVR) or technically own, that's saying something about boxing. This comparison shows me that there is still a public demand for boxing, but the average fan won't go digging for fighters to follow, you have to "push" them like a good businessman. De La Hoya is so popular because he got exposure

How is that different than every other big fight? The major reason why it's only 1.25 mil is because one household would buy the fight and invite a bunch of people over and tell them to either pay a small fee or bring food over. That's what I did. I paid for it while a several of my family members went over and brought food. And I know since the economy isn't going so well, many other people did the same thing.
I doubt that many people were home alone watching DLH-PBF. I saw it at a fight party with 20 people.Comment
