This is ane excellent numbers considering a lo0t of people consider this fight to be a joke..

With the bad economy in the US, it still hit the million mark..

Pacquiao will make more than 20 million dollars in total.

DE LA HOYA - PACQUIAO GENERATES 1.25 MILLION PAY-PER-VIEW BUYS

According to Dan Rafael of espn.com, last Saturday night;s showdown that saw Manny Pacquiao score an emphatic eighth round stoppage over Oscar De La Hoya drew an impressive 1.25 million Pay-Per-View buys generated $70 million in domestic television revenue, according to HBO PPV chief Mark Taffet.

The only two non-heavyweight bouts to exceed the De La Hoya-Pacquiao total were De La Hoya’s 2007 record-setting fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., which set the all-time pay-per-view record with 2.4 million buys and $134 million in revenue and his 1999 fight with Felix Trinidad, which generated 1.4 million buys and $71.4 million.

“When it’s all counted up, it will end up at 1.35 or 1.4 million,” Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank said.

all of YOU are BULL**** THINKERS!!!

1.25M buys is as good as it gets!! Its a TREMENDOUS Number!!

Considering the fact that ALL MEDIA outlets branded this fight as a FARCE, a JOKE, and a MISMATCH!!
        a flyweight fighting a Middleweight!!

The media affected the thinking of many potential PPV buyers!!

IF NOT FOR THE MEDIA, this fight should have recorded 3million buys!!

1.25 million is a GREAT number!!

it is better than DLH-Mayweather and DLH-Tito!!

          Considering the fact that:

1.) DLH has five losses ( a loss to PBF downgraded DLH's value a lil bit)

2.) Many Media outlets branded this fight as a JOKE, FARCE , & a MISMATCH (obviously it affected a lot of potential PPV buyers not to buy it)

3.) The ECONOMY is **** right now ( 500k lost their jobs in a span of 3mos)

          CONCLUSION:
If not for this 3 reasons, especially reason no.2, this fight would have sold 3million buys!!

So why do these mexicans keep accepting fights with him if his ppv value is **** without them??? Ricky Hatton is not Mexican and has never even been on ppv without Mayweather. How many ppv buys you think Pacquiao-Hatton gets??

                      You are the TRUE MORON!!

                      Pac-DLH did surpassed DLH-Bhop and DLH-Mosley 1,2!!!

who do you think is more famous, the DLH 3-5 yrs ago or the Oscar of today who was beaten by PBF before the Pac fight?

remember, PAC-DLH did 1.25M despite the fact that most MORON "Boxing experts" wannabe branded this fight a FARCE match-up!! (it surely affected the THINKING of potential PPV buyers)

....& the economy is ****!!! (more than a million jobs lost in a span of a year)

HBO 24/7 elevated the public consciousness about PACQUIAO, the P4P king!!
