I just like the fact that both were undefeated in the same division and part of the p4p equation.
Dela HOya was P4P #1 and Trinidad was #4 I think. When Hoya lost, Roy Jones Jr. who was P4P#2 became #1, Hoya fell to #4 and Trinidad went up to #3. Trinidad didn't get much credit for beating P4P#1

duran/leanord? was leanord even a champ when he fought duran for the first time? it's more like leanord/hagler. two established giants going at it.

Chavez and Whitaker were fighting not only for the welterweight title, they were fighting for the title of best pound for pound fighter in the world.

Yep, it would be a HUGE fight.
It's all up to the promoters and Mayweather to make it happen.

Yes Leonard was the WW champ when he fought Duran and Ray had had tons of publicity since winning a gold in the Olympics, Duran had been LW king for some time, so it was a big fight. Leonard had such a long layoff that he wasn't given much chance against Hagler.

Holyfield/Tyson is the greatest matchup I can remember. Tyson/Spinks was pretty damn hyped up, but sure was a letdown.

only a fool wouldnt make this fight now. if they let this chance pass
by it will be a while before you have two fighters at their best
who have proven themselves as champions facing off.
miss it and we'll have to wait another 5 -10 years .
