I don't think Pac was in his prime then, he still seems to be improving with every fight. Too bad Mayweather couldn't have fought Barrera or Morales back in 01 when they were only 4 lbs apart.

I guess nobody ever questioned that Morales was a certified beast. Wheter he's one of the greatest of all times is debateable however.

i say its lucky win for Erik, he fought an unfocused Manny, even roach admitted it, he said "they took erik lightly". the much smaller, one eyed, bleeding profusely and unfocused Manny fought the wrong fight, ie. he backed up when he doesnt have to, coz he can take erik's punches and that made erik look like he is winning the rounds/fight. on the rematch, Pac stood his ground and traded when erik tried to bull rush him and make him back up against the rope. outcome = erik getting whooped

all erik was able to do is EEK out a ud over a much smaller Pac, badly cut and bleeding profusely.

the rematch version of Pac damaged morales.

pac with a stronger right hand made him say no mas,

I say todays version of pac puts prime erik morales on a coma.

i wouldn't say he dominated him.

Co-sign. He won a 7-5 UD. He didn't own him but he clearly won. And EM was a proven beast before he beat Pac anyway.

Morales is a beast, he would take on most atg's around his weight division - I believe he roughed up mayweather in sparring sessions at 130.

Pacquiao was green and Morales was in his prime when Pacquiao lost. So I don't think it's entirely fair to say a prime Morales woops Pacquiao, because Pacquiao has got so much better from then. Same goes for Pacquiao wooping Morales 2 times..not completely fair since Morales was sliding in the second fight, and shot in the 3rd.

Good to see Morales getting some love.

The kid was a phenom in his prime. Too often people overlook his actualy boxing background and ability to dictate and control his opponets, because they like to remember him for his wars with Barrera.

But the kid could box, he had solid skill, he wa a double threat because he could either take you 12 rounds and embarass you, or he could walk right through you in half the time.

The fact that he pretty much schooled Pac when he was well removed from his prime is a testament to his greatness.

It's funny cuz while Morales appeared to be the bigger man Pac's technical prime is actually right now north of 130 while EM's prime was at 122-126. Prime vs Prime I'd take Pac regardless the weight.

Pac didn't get dominted in that fight.. It was a close fight but Morales clearly won the fight. Pac wasn't in his prime during that time either..
