hype who never fought anybody, his legacy will be the two wins over two 40 year olds who both will be way way ahead of him in terms of greatness.

So, when Hopkins called Calzaghe a whiteboy and said that he would never lose to one, it was a compliment to Joe?

Are you joking, or one of those black supremacists that we sometimes get on here.

As we saw with greats such as Muhammad Ali and Oscar De La Hoya, it is possible to fight for too long.

Do Bute and Inkin come to mind? DUCKED!

Calzaghe has too many questions marks over his career... Like Roy Jones Jr said, he'll go down as an elite European Fighter, thats it. He is not p4p best fighter of the decade...lol, he has'nt been p4p champ and never will so how can he be p4p of the last decade?

Credit is given for unifying the supper middle division, but fact is he should have moved up to light heavy years ago. There were so many greater challenges that he avoided by not doing so.

And beating a Roy Jones Jr who was 5 years past his prime is'nt a win worthy of greatness. Although he'll get credit for beating Hopkins, even though there was controversy's with the outcome.

And Calzaghe fans please don't blame FW for him not fighting the best earlier on. He did'nt hold him back as a fighter. Thats all bull****. Calzaghe missed numerous fights which were scheduled to be aired on Showtime. They nicknamed him 'no show Joe'... He made his own future. He Ducked out of fighting Glen Johnson 3 times... what a joke.

              .
Bute and Inkin? are you ****ing kidding me? 5 SMW on Calzaghe's resume would have KO'd those two inside 6 rounds.

Inkin best win is a 34 year old Mario Veit who Calzaghe beat twice when he was younger, better and undefeated. He also did it faster than Inkin did.

Bute is nothing special, his stumbling performace and very near loss against a limited Andrade showed that.

For me, Mikkel Kessler and Chris Eubank were good.

                No, better than good.

Jeff Lacy was a terrific young World Champion at the time of his dismantling at the hands of Calzaghe, also.

And I enjoyed his victory over Bernard Hopkins, a few months before Hopkins impressed me with his magnificent victory over Kelly Pavlik.

I do admit that many of us British over-rate Joe, but maybe we have good reason to. Not only is he a terrific guy who does a lot for charity, just like Ricky Hatton, but he has been a World Champion for well over a decade and that is something fairly special.
