Mayweather vs pacquiao wont happen soon. You got goldenboy still upset that floyd pulled out of the rematch with oscar and top rank does not like floyd, so they will do everything in their power to do pac vs hitman in england and make tons of m$ney on that fight which will be a better fight than the one mentioned above. Btw im a big floyd fan "but" this is how your suppose to beat a past his prime fighter, "convincenly" not the way floyd did it via split dec. Pac was way more impressive than floyd was. Floyd looked scared and too cautious with an old oscar. Great job pac!!!!!!!!! Also did someone say joan guzman for pac??? Wow someone is really off out there.......

I see everyone is excited about Manny's win, me too. But lets be serious for a minute. Pacman did beat a bigger fighter, however he didn't beat a good bigger fighter. Oscar hasn't looked good in a fight since he defeated Vargas and how many years ago was that???? Oscar like Tyson is a draw, that is it. If Tyson laced up the gloves tomorrow, it would be a big event. Pacman beat a fighter who wasn't even a champion, just a "draw". Being able to move up from 106 to 147 is a tremendous feat. And Pacman deserves his props. But these comparisons with Duran, Armstrong and Sugar Ray Robinson are ridiculous. The aforementioned fighters moved up and fought "champions" in their respective divisions. Pacman moved up and fought a business man/part-time fighter.
Ex: When Duran moved up to fight Leonard at 147, after leaving the lightweight division, he fought a "champion' in the welterweight division. Ray Leonard was undefeated and in his prime, when he was defeated by a lightweight. Armstrong fought champions during his tear through three divisions. Robinson fought Maxim, who was a champion.
Oscar lost the fight when it was signed for him to fight at 147. To be honest, (check my recent posts) I never bought the idea Oscar was going to win the fight; his only chance was to catch Manny early. The longer the fight would go the worse it would be for Oscar.
Let this be a lesson for so called boxing experts, use your head and stop believing the hype when you analyze fights. As a student of the game, the hype couldn't fool me on this one.
In closing, what a tremendous feat for Pacman and Freddie Roach. Now bring on the best fighter of our generation: Floyd Mayweather !!!!!!!!!!
That fight needs no hype......

lol I love this, before this fight had started, most of you were sayin "oh Pac is too small, Oscar is too big and too much for him, he will just lose" and now its the same with Mayweather. Can't wait when pacman proves all of you wrong.

Mayweather's best win was a split decision over de la Hoya. Pacquiao has already beaten 4 surefire HOF'ers (Morales, Barrera, Marquez, de la Hoya). Sure, he is way better defensively than Pacquiao, but conversely, Pacquiao is way better than him offensively. And if they fight at 140, who do you think will have the stronger punch? Definitely, that is one fight Mayweather can't win with his running techniques. I'll take Pacquiao over Mayweather any time at 140 if that fight ever happens, which i doubt because Mayweather would be scared about losing that fake 0 on his record (remember, Castillo beat him the first time!).

Mayweather's best win is over Hatton.

i suppose Mayweather wouldn't have been able to beat barrera and marquez...some of you guys comments are quite funny and downright silly......
listen i love what pac-man did, but lets not get crazy here...mayweather unless he lost alot of his skills while enjoying his retirement would totally devast pac-man....pac-man lounges in with just about every punch, he leaves his head exposed....against a fighter like Oscar at this late stage of his career, as Roach said Oscar cannot pull the trigger anymore.Oscar couldn't touch him......against a fighter with the speed and accuracy of Mayweather Pac-man would be eating shots left and right, while looking downright amateurish as he misses Mayweather......I hope and pray this fight is made......it would be Mayweather's easiest victory, in my opinion.....I just hope it happens right now, while everyone clearly views Pac-Man as the best P4P champ out there.....that way mayweather can tell all of you to STFU.

Floyd's only option as far as opponents go are: Margarito, Cotto, Williams, or Pac. Given that lineup, i think its safe to assume that Floyd will keep his ass retired. Too much risk against any of the above mentioned. Floyd will make a comeback when there's a bum title holder ala Baldomir, so that Floyd can say that he's taking on the "champion of the world".

Let's calm down for a moment and remember Manny Pacquiao struggled to beat Juan Manuel Marquez a little while ago. Excellent performance last night but Mayweather would beat him down. Period. Oscar De La Hoya was only larger...that's it. It's not like he was a factor at welterweight or has even beaten a decent fighter at 147 or 154 in years. He's one thing. Floyd Mayweather is another.
