Tzyu would knock him out. Corrales, as much as I love him, would not be able to outbox Kostya. For one thing, Corrales wouldn't be able to keep Tzyu off him, who would use a straight right to chest and to the armpit to parry Chico's jab. And by the time Tzyu started going to his body, i.e. the first round, Corrales would be finished, and the only thing keeping him in there would be his heart.

Honestly, I think Frietas probably could have beaten Corrales if he had just fought instead of running around the ring like someone was shooting him in the ass. I mean he never once threw a really hard right hand, and he had the absolute wrong gameplan.

I'm not saying Chico would win, but why would he fear a guy who'd be there to hit ? He should fear Floyd M-type of fighters before someone like Castillo.
yeah I cant see Chico afraid of anyone, he fought Mayweather,no fear even after lossing so bad, Frietas first ture test for Popo and he falls into the hands of Chico,Cassamayor 2 times even after their first fight. SO to say that he is scare and of Castillo, I am with you, I dont thinh that he is

Corales has pop in both hands and KT is easy to hit. After Mitchell fought N'dou i Knew he was Gonna lose the fight with KT. So Corales has a chance

Corrales has more than "pop" in his hands.....he's the hardest puncher in the sport, lb4lb.

I believe with his frame & just the way he punches....he'll carry his power to 140. That, makes him "live" against anyone up there (just keep him away from Floyd !).
Against Tszyu, I think Tszyu's just too strong & too good. He'll overpower Corrales.

I dont think he will over power chico,if chico uses his hieght and box he can make it an easy night.

LeftHook I've seen a few times that you dont seem to favour Tszyu much in general, any reasons?

I think the weight/power difference in Tszuy's favour would be the deciding factor in this matchup. He uses his knuckles and punches so hard, unlike some 'flashier' boxers that throw a flurry of punches but are basically hitting with the inside of their gloves -> no power at all. I'm not saying Corrales does this as I havent seen much of him, just a general observation

No but to Tszyu is over rated . There crediting him for beating Mitchell which i knew was the obvious ,the last couple of Mitchell fights he didnt look good at all so when the rematch hit i knew Tszyu would destroy him. Corales has a great chance to win just like Gatti if that fight goes down.Just my opinion

Corrales isn't the boxer some think he is. He is also open to right hands. Tszyu would take his time, because Corrales can ****, particularly with short crisp punches, but I think he would stop him by 7 or 8.

I think that alot of people are underestimating Chico. We have to remember, the last really hard puncher Tsyzu fought was Vince Phillips & he got KO'ed. You can argue Zab but he's a sharp puncher. Tsyzu's used to being the bigger man, & with Chico you have a guy that can jab in his face all night & throw a devastating left hook with hard right hands of his own. Chico comes in weighing at around the 147 lbs range so I wouldn't see that as a huge factor. PBF proved the way to beat Chico is with speed. Freitas had a good gameplan till he Chico walked him down & KO'ed him. This would be a tough match for both fighters. Tsyzu has a tendency to freeze when hit with big punches. We saw do that against Phillips, Leija, Mitchell I&II, & even Zab.

Chico at 147 would still be giving away at least 7 lbs to Tsyzu who normally comes in at 154+
