he woulda but he didnt he's lost as many big fights as he has won. but he does deserve a lot of credit for the level of opposition he faced throught his career. Even though i wish he woulda fought Margarito i think anyone would agree that he fought so many big time fighters that at this point of his career he deserves to finish off his career however he chooses

Don't think so. Look at SRL for example, He beat Duran, Hagler, Hearns, Wilfred and he ain't even top 3.maybe even the greatest, if he beat everyone he faced.
as far as skill is concerned, he was a one handed ray robinson(his right hand wasn't as great as his left, as ray's was)
he had grace,skill,heart(it took the days of for 2 fights
),chin,
he could box and brawl.he could fight on the inside, on the outside.
he could fight comng forward, going backwards.
these are all things that are said about ray robinson.
he was more sugar than shane was.(maybe if his name rey de la hoya, he could have gotten that nickname)
he won belts in six divisions,17 title defenses( I'm not sure about that number)
say what you will about him as a person(as i have) but i don't think many people would come up with an argument against him not being top 3,2, or 1 IF he beat everyone he faced.
don't act like you won't miss him when he's gone either.Comment

listen, your opinion is your opinion as mine is mine.many people have leonard top 3.leonard arguably lost to hagler and hearns the second time around.the duran fight has an asterisk as duran quit.all those fights have question marks.

like is said, he beats everybody he ever faced, he's top three.that resume is ARGUABLY the greatest in boxing history. people can disagree or not.

I think Grady Brewer should be like at least #1 in this era. The man has a HUGE win over Cornelius "K-9" Bundrage, that was an action packed war. Both men will never be the same after that fight. Grady was on The Contender as well, that means he's really skilled and very famous. I think I'd rate Brewer up there with the Willie Peps, the SRRs, and the Henry Armstrongs.Comment
